Exceed 10 million fans from 158 Countries lined up to buy tickets for Oasis’ 2025 UK and Ireland stadium tour on Saturday (August 31).

That A press release issued by the orchestra today (4th September) confirmed the figure, claiming it was “the largest ever concert launch in the UK and Ireland”.

Oasis also announced two more wembley stadium programme They said that due to the “unprecedented demand” for the tour, “all ticket platforms are struggling to cope, leading to huge frustration and disappointment among fans who have queued for hours and missed out”.

In the same press release today, Oasis (Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher and bandmates) publicly distanced themselves from the decision that led to the use of Ticketmaster’s “dynamic” pricing tool during the sale .

Sources familiar with the matter interviewed by MBW today estimate 10-15% of 1.4 million Tickets sold over the weekend are “dynamically” priced on Ticketmaster.

The tickets cost more than double their face value GBP £150 The “on demand” price tag is approx. GBPChapter 355 – sparking an outcry from fans on social media platforms (and a lot of discussion in other media outlets – including MBW yesterday).

Oasis issued a press release on Wednesday in response to “numerous buyer complaints regarding Ticketmaster’s dynamic ticketing operations.”

“To be clear, Oasis left ticketing and pricing decisions entirely to their promoters and management and was not aware at any time that dynamic pricing would be used.”

The press release added: “To be clear, Oasis left ticketing and pricing decisions entirely to their promoters and management and was not aware at any time that dynamic pricing would be used.

“While previous meetings between organizers, Ticketmaster and band management agreed on an aggressive ticket sales strategy that would be a fair experience for fans, including dynamic ticketing to help lower overall ticket prices and reduce touting, the plan’s Execution fell short of expectations.

“All parties involved are doing their best to provide the best fan experience possible, but due to unprecedented demand, this is not possible.”

To put the extent of this need into context – Wembley, where Oasis will now be Participating in 7 of the 19 dates of the tour, with a capacity of 90,000.

Oasis needs to implement 111 London Stadium dates to meet demand for next year’s tour.

“Dynamic” ticket pricing surges instantly as demand increases, similar to airline tickets or Uber.

Live Nation has previously argued that the program addresses the problem of scalpers buying tickets at face value and then selling them at higher prices.

Ticketmaster says on its website that “promoters and artists set ticket prices” and that these “prices can be fixed or market-based. Market-based tickets are marked platinum or exist Require”.

Ticketmaster listed “market-based” tickets for the Oasis show on Saturday as “Strong demand‘.

The company further explains on its website that “On-Demand Tickets are tickets to concerts and other events offered by artists and event organizers through Ticketmaster” and that “they give fans fair and secure access to sought-after tickets at market-driven prices seats.

Oasis Concerts are co-promoted by SJM, Live Nation, MCD and DF Concerts. Ticketmaster is one of three ticketing websites used, including Gigs and Tours and See Tickets.

Anger over ticket sales has caught the attention of politicians, with Culture Minister Lisa Nandy confirming at the weekend that the practice of “dynamic pricing” will be included in a government consultation on ticketing.

The GuardianMeanwhile, it was reported today that the European Commission is investigating “Ticketmaster’s ability to increase concert ticket prices based on demand.”

According to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the British Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has received hundreds of complaints about Ticketmaster’s performance advertising.

“Inevitably, interest in the tour was so strong that it was impossible to schedule enough shows to satisfy the public.”

    Oasis Press Release

A press release from Oasis on Wednesday explained that “as a small step to remedy this situation” a special “invite-only ticket sales strategy” has been devised for two further Wembley shows.

Applications to participate in the voting will first be open to fans who were unsuccessful in Ticketmaster’s initial release.

“Inevitably, interest in this tour has been so intense that it has been impossible to schedule enough shows to satisfy the public’s demand,” the band’s press release added.

“But this ticket sales strategy will make the entire process smoother by reducing the stress and time it takes for fans to obtain one of the hottest tickets available today.”
