Oasis is gearing up for another big announcement.
The recently reunited Britpop band took to social media on Saturday (September 28) to share images of a large advert on the building, featuring Noel Gallagher and Liam A black and white photo of Liam Gallagher’s brother, as well as a trailer set to be released on Monday (September 30) morning.
The billboard campaign reads “Be careful what you wish for,” along with “Monday at 8 a.m. ET” and the British group’s oasisinet.com website.
As of press time, it was unclear which cities the advertising boards were located in, but eagle-eyed fans in the post X’s comments section (ex-Twitter) speculates that two of the buildings are located in Toronto and Chicago.
Earlier this month, images of the band Oasis appeared on billboards stateside, seemingly teasing American dates. The electronic message found in New York’s Times Square – which appears to be sponsored by Amazon Music – features the company’s logo, followed by a photo of the Gallaghers, and the message: “If we need to put up an ad Let’s get these people to come to America, right here.
Both trailers were released after Oasis announced their reunion tour in late August. The feuding Gallagher brothers will embark on a multi-performance tour of the British Isles in 2025, including Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, which will be their “only European shows next year”.
Liam and Noel have also committed to expanding international competition in the near future. “OASIS LIVE ’25 plans to travel to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” a statement read.
Oasis disbanded in 2009 after enjoying huge success on the UK charts and making headlines in British tabloids following a bitter rivalry with the Gallagher Brothers. Quit the band after a backstage fight with Liam at a nearby gig. The brothers have not performed live since then, although they often perform Oasis songs at solo gigs and with their band, and they continued to attack each other online and in the media before announcing their reunion.
At the beginning of September, Liam revealed the possibility of new music from Oasis. After receiving a question from a fan about his upcoming album on Liam wrote, “It’s been brewing man, it’s been brewing.” Describe the album in one word? “Turdos,” he added.
Oasis’ seventh and final album, dig into your soulpeaking at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 in October 2008.
