The first episode of the animated video game anthology series secret level has been released on Prime Video, and one of the craziest episodes involves pacmanwhose title is “Circle”.
The creative team really thought outside the box when they developed this episode and turned it into an intense horror story. There’s a reason for this, as game developers want to catch audiences off guard.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, secret levelexecutive producer of Dave Wilson Said the unique direction they took with the story came out of a meeting with the developers.
“We just took that and sort of dissected Pac-Man for what it was,” Wilson explained. “They challenged us as developers. The developers got a call from us and said –Please note, this is a translator saying–“We want the audience to wonder, what on earth did they do to Pac-Man? ”
“So when the audience is watching, it’s not just our responsibility. But in this case, I think people know enough about Pac-Man that we can take some risks.
Wilson said they came up with many ideas for the Pac-Man episode, but one really stood out. “We had a lot of great ideas, but some of them were exactly what you’d imagine a Pac-Man episode to be, and we always felt like we weren’t pushing the envelope on this thing.”
JT Petty came up with the unique concept, and Wilson shared, “He came back with that script, and I distinctly remember reading it and being like, ‘I’m not entirely sure I understand this script, but I think , I should not watch every episode.
“It wasn’t entirely for me, it was an anthology, and I will say, the script was great, but when we gave it to Victor [Maldonado] and alfredo [Torres]the directing team called “Headless,” and their hype was incredible.
In the story, “A man (by Alex Le) wakes up from his sleep suspended in a water tank. He has no memory of who he is or how he got there. In the email, Le compared the character to “a conceptual newborn baby, but with the motor functions and abilities of an adult.”
“The character only knows that there is a spherical robot floating in front of him (by The Mandalorianof Emily Swallow). Puck – named after Pac-Man’s original nickname “Puck Man” – claims to be the “Chosen One” destined to escape the maze in which they are currently trapped.
“Whether Parker can actually be trusted, or whether there’s more to this reality is another matter. Parker guides the man to a sword, which he uses to travel through the jungles and barren deserts of this world in search of escape. road.
If you haven’t started watching Secret Level yet, you should do so now! So, compared to what I’ve seen, this is pretty awesome! I enjoyed it.
