Hayley Williams may be gearing up for her first solo tour in 2025.
The Paramore singer hinted at the possibility of a solo date in an Instagram Story celebrating her 36th birthday on Friday (December 27). In her note, Williams reflected on the 2020 tour she had to cancel in support of her debut solo album, Armor petalsdue to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m going to try and finally perform some shows next year that would have happened nearly 5 years ago,” she wrote. “That is, if the world doesn’t stop before then. There is hope here.
Armor petals Released in March 2020, Williams plans to tour Europe and North America in support of the album. However, the pandemic forced her to cancel those shows as venues closed around the world.
“Wow. I’m going on a trip. Me. It’s not Paramore and it’s just kind of scary to be honest,” she wrote at the time. “But if I know anything, it’s that there is no safer place (other than at home with my dog) than in a room, in front of the people I grew up singing about. There was a time I don’t think I’m going to tour Petals for Armor, what a joke I have to be.
During the pandemic, Williams turned to virtual performances, including an NPR Tiny Desk concert filmed in Nashville, and released her surprise second album, Vase/Decanso Flowers2021.
When lockdown eases in 2023, Paramore return with their sixth studio album, that’s why. The pop-punk band supported the album’s release with a tour that included opening dates on Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras tour.
In a celebratory post on Instagram, Williams also thanked fans for their well wishes and shared personal reflections.
“35 feels like plowing the ground and planting little seeds. Wait, wait, wait and see,” she wrote. “Thirty-six is already exciting and a little scary. So hopeful. I’m still in the dirt, ready for whatever may grow. Fruit?
