Kelsea Ballerini releases her fifth full-length studio album, pattern (Published October 25).
The four-time Grammy nominee’s new album follows last year’s Roll up the welcome mat EP, and an expanded version of that EP, Roll up the welcome mat (for good). Rolling Up The Welcome Mat received critical acclaim, peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album.
In preparation for the album’s release, Ballerini has already shared songs including “Cowboys Cry Too,” a collaboration with Noah Kahan (which reached the Top 20 on the Hot Country Songs chart), and “First Rodeo” ”, “Two Things” and “Sorry Mom.
Ballerini conveys her current moment in 15 songs patterncreative and personal. As the title suggests, there’s also an in-depth look at the habits and patterns that have served her well, as well as those that need to change. Most importantly, the album is about accepting all aspects of herself and the moments that brought her to where she is now.
“pattern This album is about taking stock of yourself and life as it is, going through the things that need to change, and celebrating the wins along the way,” Ballerini said in a statement. “Writing this record was really just a great conversation with myself, Alysa (Vanderheym), Karen (Fairchild), Hillary (Lindsey) and Jessie Jo (Dillon). That’s what I wanted to bring to my show… …and for one night (okay, many nights) we got together and had the best dance of the night while unpacking all the bags, complete with confetti and costume changes, of course.
She will celebrate the new album with a headlining show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 29, and recently revealed her upcoming first-ever headlining arena tour, which will kick off in Michigan on January 21 Held at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
