Peacock Tea Cup canceled after one season
The show was inspired by Robert McCammon’s novel “The Sting.” The series originally aired directly on the NBCUniversal-backed streaming service in 2022 and premiered in October 2024.
According to the official synopsis, the show tells the story of “a diverse group of people in rural Georgia who must band together to face a mysterious threat in order to survive.” The series stars Yvonne Strahovski, Scott Speedman, Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris MacGyver, Caleb Do Erden, Emily Beale, and Luciano Leroux.
Ian McCulloch serves as writer and executive producer of Teacup. James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett also serve as executive producers on Atomic Monster, along with Francisca X. Hu and Kevin Tancharoen. EL Katz directed the first two episodes and serves as executive producer, while Tancharoen directed the last two. McCammon also serves as executive producer.
