The third episode Penguin It’s quite intense. He’s probably on the rise. “We’re in it now,” he told Vic. What “it” is remains to be determined. They may get into trouble.
Or, on the way to the top.
The difference is Sofia now.
story so far
Oz finally convinces his former boss Sophia to support his drama. She reveals Gotham City’s new drug; bliss. The mushroom leaked this time appears to be the new Molly. The trial run of the drug was very successful.
Oz and his new partner corner Vitti and force him to meet with Gotham underworld boss Zhao Feng. Vitti himself was lucky that Oz didn’t kill him, while forcing Sofia’s sworn enemy to help them.
Backstory
This episode is all about backstory. We learn more about Vic. His family, his previous identity as a “guy who gets stuff.” A young man whose dreams come true, albeit small ones. Vic’s family: mom, dad and sister were his world.
The Riddler takes his family and sets him on the road to Oz.
We also learn a little more about Sofia. Her family, especially Carmine, made her dirty. Oz helped orchestrate her fall from grace. Penguins are nothing if not selfish. He uses and abandons those who can help him, allowing him to rise to the top of Gotham’s trash heap. This habit didn’t bode well for Vic.
In the second episode, Oz frames Sophia again. He managed to gain her grudging trust. Looking back now, this was a move she would regret.

Each episode of the show peels another layer away from the characters. Even as we learn more about Oz, each of the main players tells more of their own personal backstory.
creator of Penguin Making these Gotham residents feel more real in every part of the series. We began to care about all of them. From the mother/revenge-obsessed Oz, the oh-so-crazy Sofia, and the good-guy Vic. . (Never mind that Oz and Carmine seduced the young female Falcone and triggered this insanity.)

This young woman knows just as much about revenge as Ozzy does. If she survives her encounter with Mrs. Maroney, Penguin will need to watch his back. So does Vic. If Sofia catches this rising Gotham orphan, he may never reach the top.
She was left in the hands of Mrs. Maroney and a few followers. She was on her knees with the gun presumably still pointed at her head. The Executioner is likely to be the next one after Oz and Vic.
Summarize
Oz tells Vic, “We’re in it now.” And they are. The Penguin’s plan is up to their necks. Although he may have to compete with Sophia for the trophy. His list of revenge is as long as hers. Vic may regret leaving Garthera and leaving Gotham on his own.
However, the young Penguin driver has now taken a stand and fully supports his boss.
For better or worse.
