I believe the Big Brother season finale will be next Sunday night (13th), so get into the meat and potatoes of the Big Brother season? Anyway, with that in mind, I think there has to be someone who I think is one of the best, if not the best, Big Brother recaps out there, and that’s Taran Armstrong from “Rob’s Got a Podcast.” Taran usually appears once a year at the end of the season to discuss what we think might happen in the final 5 games. My impression is that I only see two people who could win this award: Mark Kensi or Chelsea. Not only that, I don’t think anyone sitting next to them – Kam, Rubina or Kimo – will even get the right to vote. Apparently I’ve slept on one of these three. Anyway, I’m glad you all got to hear another great conversation with Taran. Thanks again to Taran for coming on as he always provides great insights into the show. enjoy…

(SPOILERS) I start by talking about what’s new with Grant this season and the pronunciation of some of the women’s names. Taran then joins me (7:44) to break down the last 5 Big Brother games of the season, who has the upper hand now, can more than two people win this season, who are the sleepers, gaming vs social gaming, and Lots and lots.

Daily Review 10/4 Transcript
The daily roundup you listen to here is a slice of reality. See podcast. I am your reality host. Steve, thank you all for tuning in this Thursday. There’s a lot to talk about in today’s podcast. What happens in a few hours. We also spent my night starting last night. We have found a new location where the bachelor will go after the rose ceremony in Madrid today or tonight.
I also made some corrections to yesterday’s podcast. The Bachelorette didn’t watch it, but I got your email. We’re going to talk about why I didn’t know you were all asking about Big Brother. Thank God I didn’t show up last night. This saves me from watching one show. Although we do have a two hour episode tonight, as well as some news from the world of Brittany Jackson.
Apparently he didn’t know how to fill out the paperwork. We’ll get to all this later. So I’m just going to start with this. Went to the Addison Improv last night to see my friend Jen Steger perform. Sorry, She’s the Headliner, the opening act for Anna Akana. If you haven’t seen Anna Akana’s Stand Up , it’s very, very funny and very, very dark.
And, I mean, when you go see comedians, that’s comedy. You know, you should laugh. Sometimes people say certain things should never be talked about on stage. I don’t necessarily agree with that because they are just jokes. It’s different if a comedian is there and they’re not telling jokes but insulting people.
I would say the one hour episode of Anna Akana is at least the last half hour. But there are parts in the first half hour where she talks about it. There’s a lot of discussion about suicide, but it’s done in a very tasteful way. She’s talking about more than just suicide. She talks about suicide because her sister committed suicide 17 years ago and she has made it her own.
It’s a very delicate balance, because how do you make suicide a lighthearted topic? And she did. She is an absolutely brilliant storyteller. I had never seen her stand up before. I had seen some clips online, and obviously when Jen told me she was going to be in town to open, I Googled some stuff and watched some of her clips, which were pretty interesting.
Another thing I noticed when I clicked on her IMDB page was that she was on six episodes of one of my favorite shows, at least the first five for me. A million little things. When I was talking to her later, I was like, man, I’ve watched every episode of A Million Little Things, but I’ve never binge-watched it after watching it.
I’ve watched every episode once. So I can’t remember seasons two and three, like I can recall things like Beverly Hills, 90210, and 24 because I’ve watched those shows so many times , loved A Million Little Things , but I’ve only watched every episode once. So I was like, what, what’s your role?
What is that? What season is that? She said, I think it was season three or four. It was after Eddie was in a car accident and he was in a wheelchair while she played a Coca-Cola singer. I think, again, I kind of remember it, but when you’ve only seen every episode once, it’s tough, but very very very very very I mean, it’s just a different type of stand up, you know ?
I mean, who talks about suicide on stage? That’s true of most of her performances, but it’s really, really good. She’s just doing something that really no comedian does. Jen did a great job in her 20 minute opening performance and I saw something I’d never seen before. I’ve been watching stand-up comedy since I was in sixth grade.
I mean, I watch the Rodney Dangerfield special every year on HBO. Even though I didn’t quite understand the nature, the sexual nature of their jokes, I still found them funny. But, I mean, you go back to sixth grade and I was, what, 11 years old, sixth grade? After 38 years of watching stand-up comedy, last night I saw something I had never seen before.
There was a deaf man in the audience. Therefore, there was an interpreter on stage for Jen and Anna’s performance. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Yes. You may be watching a comedy show where interpreters are present, but they are usually on screen and in other locations around the stage. Both women shared the stage with an interpreter.
I’ve never seen this happen before. OMG, I’ve never seen a show or even a TV show where a translator was on TV. Whether it’s on the screen or that person is in a different place, you know, standing in front. They were joined on stage by two comedians, Jen and Anna. So if you get a chance, Jen’s stuff, Jen doesn’t have a lot of stuff online.
But I talked yesterday about their comedian lives and they were in Dallas last night and they’re leaving tomorrow morning. They headed to Houston. So they’re in Houston tonight, Houston. Oh, you hard-hearted people. Hehe, you have no butt. Yeah, they don’t watch the Astros anymore, you don’t have to go to that game and try to find where they’re playing tonight and go see them and then go see them on Friday.
They’re in Atlanta on Saturday, in Nashville and then in Colorado on Sunday. I mean, talk about touring life as a stand-up comedian. Five cities, five different days. Go check it out. So just found out last night because a lot of people pointed this out to me. You sent me a screenshot of your Instagram account.
Bachelor Nation, Bachelor Nation, Bachelor Nation. com and Instagram accounts posted that you can become a spectator on one of the funding dates. It will be held this Sunday in Edinburgh, Scotland. So they were flying from Madrid to Scotland. Tonight is the fourth rose ceremony in Madrid. They’ll be traveling on Friday and may have appointments starting on Saturday, or Sunday may be the first appointment they promote people to come out to or sign up for.
You don’t just show up, you have to register and get approved. When you get there, you’ll be on the list. There are people from Scotland, Scots, right? Is that a Scottish accent?
The date is Sunday, October 7, approximately 1 to 7 p.m. The venue is Edinburgh, Scotland, but you have to email them to go to Bachelor Nation. com.If you’re listening right now and don’t want to leave. Send an email request to Bachelor viewers via gmail. com. So all the information is there. You leave your first and last name, your email address, your age, the latest photo of yourself and how many people are coming and then they get back to you and then he gives you instructions on what to do, but I don’t Have any idea how many people listen to my podcast from Scotland, if you will.
Try to go on a Sunday date, but you have to email the Bachelor viewer request via gmail. com. This is a Sunday date in Edinburgh. I want to correct something from yesterday’s podcast. You know, when The Bachelor posts about contestants on its Facebook page, it goes on for three days and then we find their last names and we find the Instagram accounts of all these women besides Ella, you know, we’re not on Facebook yet See them.
Haven’t seen them talk yet. Haven’t seen Grant say their names yet. We haven’t seen Jesse say their names yet. So I’m really going to give up on spelling. The 10 women I announced and showed you are the 10 women who stayed in Madrid, and obviously I butchered the names of three of them. I massacred, but I just mispronounced them.
So let’s get this straight. I call her Alexi Godin. It’s just Alex. Alex E: It’s just, she’s just Alex. I call her Lydia, Lydia, she’s Ladia, I think I pronounce it, I might call her Carolina, but it’s Carolina, Carolina, Sophia, so, Alec Sri Lanka. Latia Carolina highlights Lees in both names.
So just trying to get it out there because I, you know, I don’t know how many of you there are, it’s hard. We don’t know what their names are. We only see spelling and obviously some names. You can be K a C a ROLIN a You can be Carolina or Carolina. I guess I said Carolina yesterday, or I said it on a YouTube live the other day, it’s Carolina.
I, I know I said Lydia, this is Ladia and I called her Alexi. It’s Alex. So keep that in mind and go ahead, this podcast is brought to you by the way, everyone has a type and shampoo and conditioner is all about giving you the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type hair serum, and how you will get hydration.
