Randleman Season 1 Episode 7 separates Angela and Ainsley’s goofy orgy and the emotion of Cooper’s decision to lay his head on Ariana’s pillow, which has been his home for a long time.
The gulf between these plots is jarring, with real life and future decisions juxtaposed with ad hoc choices that even the most tolerant of people can’t help but laugh at.
But that’s the way it is with Randleman. It’s a tough world, and living in it requires something ineffable that can only be found here and in Taylor Sheridan’s universe.
With just three episodes left in its first season, Randleman remains the show everyone’s talking about: the most successful Paramount+ series ever. What do all the naysayers think about this?
This episode, “All Roads Lead to a Hole,” delivers all the humor, heartwarming storytelling, and high-stakes drama we’ve come to expect. Between the sharp quips and intense character moments, this could be the next Disney World attraction.
Let’s break it down.
Angela’s crazy ideas about marriage and her unexpected new hobby
The advice Angela gives Ainsley during rowing lessons—essentially that the goal in life is to find a man who can provide it all—is Angela’s pinnacle.
But then, as if to prove that she was not completely Selfishly, she spontaneously decides to brighten the day for a group of retirement home residents.
Is anyone else laughing at her party planning skills? Board games, liquor store management and wild hats – Angela knows how to turn “waiting for death” into a reason to live. If you think she might have gone too far, watch Inside and see Ted Danson do it too.
But the question is: can Angela find her true calling? Ainsley’s comment about Angela possibly having a knack for doing this sort of thing really hit home.
What do you think? Will we see Angela dive deeper into the world of retirement homes, or is this a one-off adventure? Can she find a purpose that goes far beyond her desire to relax and let the world cater to the world? she?
Tommy and the Gang: A Dangerous Deal
Never one to shy away from taking the road less traveled, Tommy demands the boss pull his band of predatory gangsters perfectly onto a cartel-controlled outfit.
Watching these guys hold their ground against the cartel threat is nerve-wracking, but let’s be honest – did anyone expect these gangsters? no Bring Tommy back?
Guns were fired, threats were made, and somehow it all worked out. Do you think this plan will work?
Monty’s selfish strategy
No matter what, Monty is still the one chasing the No. 1 spot. His refusal to involve the bank in his latest deal shocked Tommy, and to be honest, I was shocked too.
Monty did something that Tommy had to live with every day. A decision always has consequences beyond the reach of the decision maker.
Monty’s explanation for the limits on fossil fuel funding makes sense, but it also makes me wonder: What does Trump’s re-election as president mean for people like Monty?
Will his relationship with Elon Musk and electric vehicles change the current environment?
As far as I know, they need Politics is about survival, so I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Angela and Tommy: bickering soulmates
If Angela and Tommy aren’t the funniest couple on TV right now, then who are?
They kept going back and forth, ranging from complaints about snoring to over-the-top threats (“Wear a mask, e.g. Defending Warrior Maverick otherwise! But behind the barbs is a relationship that somehow works.
Their love may be messy, but it’s real — and fun.
Once upon a time, Beth and Rip in Yellowstone had a similar dynamic, and we made them the couple to beat. But are you rooting for Tommy and Angela, or have they gone too far?
Ainsley’s Not-So-Innocent Night
Ainsley’s night in the beer keg is full of cringe-worthy moments, but as much as I hate to see it happen, many young women in real life are in the same position.
Who are we to turn a blind eye to the fact that the custom of “dating” will disappear in 2024?
But boy, was she going too far in sharing these details with her father? Just like the cartoons of old, you can almost see smoke pouring out of Tommy’s ears every time she opens her mouth
When she admitted she wasn’t planning on having sex, his reaction was priceless – just a little “help.”
The poor guy knows her reality, but like every other dad, he prefers outright lies to her treating him like her 19 year old bestie.
Still, for all his chatter, it’s clear he’s just hell-bent on protecting her from the harsher things in life. He sees so much every day, so who can blame him?
But I’m not sure he’d be better off in the dark. What if something did happen and her oversharing caused her to fall and was it possible to catch her?
What do you think? Is the line Ainsley walks between naivety and dangerous audacity as overtold on screen as it is in her fictional life?
A modern Romeo and Juliet
Cooper choosing Ariana over his family is a quieter but emotionally rich storyline.
The nurse said they were like Romeo and Juliet, which was not only cute but a huge flashing sign of what might be to come.
Two star-crossed lovers caught in the chaos of cartel drama? Yes, this could go south soon. Suspense lurks around every corner, and it can be uncomfortable to watch without shielding your eyes every time the door knocks.
Did anyone else notice Cooper’s reaction to the photo of Ariana’s late husband? Is he trying to get into a relationship that already has such a long history? He’d be stupid if that wasn’t his primary concern.
Rebecca’s chilling smile and ultimatum
Then there’s Rebecca.
She ends up showing up at Ariana’s house with Nate, and it’s an intense masterclass. Rebecca’s coercive tactics, Nate’s hesitation, and Cooper’s sudden arrival set the stage for an intense confrontation.
Rebecca’s icy treatment of Ariana was cruel (again), but that wry smile when she learned who Cooper was? oops. We are obviously playing a game, but what is the ultimate goal?
Is this just business, or are there more personal factors at play? Is anyone else a little upset that she manipulated Ariana so easily with such veiled threats?
Rebecca is the kind of character that people love to hate – so what do you think of her? Villain or misunderstood mastermind?
All I know is that if you told me Keira Wallace had a performance like this in When Calls the Heart , I would be skeptical. no longer!
Are you raising a pitchfork from your Bud Light?
I was ready for critics to throw up pitchforks at this bold move and laugh at the Bud Light controversy, but this made me laugh.
Tommy is indeed a loyal drinker of Michelob Ultra because it’s just water. This isn’t exactly an uplifting endorsement of any beer, so a swing at the one-time king of beers, Bud Light, does the trick.
Ellie tries to push the Bud Light to Tommy, Dale, and the boss, but they won’t touch the stuff. Ellie describes Bud Light sales and “popcorn farts in church,” a type of cheeky humor that Landman excels at.
But the question is: Is poking fun at real-world controversies a risky move, or does it just make the show feel more grounded?
All Roads Lead to a Hole combines hilarious humor, tender moments and gripping drama. With so many clues hanging in the balance, the final episodes of the season promise to be a wild ride.
So, what’s your prediction? Who has a happy ending, and whose ending is a disaster?
