In this week’s episode of Rap Life Review, Ebro, Lowkey, and Eddie react to the long-awaited #AppleMusicHalftime Show performed by Rihanna at Super Bowl LVII.
The group gives fellow co-host, Nadeska, her flowers for her work during Super Bowl week, most notably her pre-game interview with Rihanna herself. They also highlight that the #AppleMusicHalftime Show was the second most-viewed show in the program’s history, and that the Halftime brought in 5 million more viewers than the rest of the game did. After discussing Rihanna’s impact, setlist, and performance, the group reflects on the conversations they live from Phoenix, including those with Brandon Marshall, A$AP Ferg, and Hit-Boy.
To conclude the episode, the group sends their condolences to the family and friends of David Jude Jolicoeur, better known as Trugoy the Dove, who unfortunately passed recently. Trugoy the Dove was one of the essential members of the rap group De La Soul, who shaped hip-hop into what it is today.
