Downtown-owned B2B distributor FUGA has promoted Renato Vanzella to general manager for Latin America.
Vanzella, who previously served as General Manager of FUGA Brazil, will be responsible for all the company’s business activities in Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
In his new role, Vanzella will be responsible for driving dealer business development efforts in the region, overseeing customer relations, DSP partnerships and managing the FUGA team.
He continues to report directly to Sarah Landy, FUGA’s Senior Vice President, Americas, based in Los Angeles.
FUGA said that before announcing Vanzella’s promotion, FUGA had conducted “a series of successful signings and events” in Brazil under Vanzella’s leadership over the past few years.
The company, which entered into a global distribution and marketing partnership with Londrina-based AgroPlay in 2022, said AgroPlay’s artists, Ana Castella Ending 2023 with the “No. 1 Artist Ranking” and No. 1 Song on Spotify and YouTube Music in Brazil. our board of directors To date, it has over 438 million streams on Spotify.

During his five-year tenure as distributor, Vanzella was responsible for bringing in major clients in the country, including House of Fresno home Elemess, MC Tha and Jaloo, MJC Music, radio network RecordTV, Beeside Records, Bruno Martini ( Bruno Martini and Rick Bonadio and Radar Records, whose catalog includes Charlie Brown Jr., Nenhum de Nós, KLB, Edu Ribeiro and Artwork by Pique Novo.
Renato Vanzella has a career in the music industry spanning more than 15 years, initially as a consultant developing artists and labels, and later as General Manager of Brazilian publisher Movieplay, where he oversaw the publishing, label and distribution departments.

Downtown said Mexican and Latin music have experienced “significant periods of growth,” including Downtown Music Publishing’s recent signing with Double P Records, the record label and publishing outfit founded by George Prajin and Mexican music star Peso Pluma.
