This week’s throwback trailer is for the 1985 sci-fi adventure film my science project. The story follows high school student Michael Harlan, a gearhead with little academic interest who must complete a science project in order to graduate.
In desperation, he cleans out a military dump and discovers a mysterious luminous device from a UFO. What he didn’t know was that the artifact was a powerful source of energy capable of warping time and space.
When the device is activated, it begins to wreak havoc, opening rifts in space and releasing prehistoric creatures, futuristic weapons, and bizarre anomalies from the high school.
Chaos ensues, and Michael, his nerdy best friend Vince and classmate Ellie team up to stop it. They must navigate a series of wild, time-warping challenges while battling strange foes, including a time-traveled Tyrannosaurus rex and hostile soldiers from different eras.
The team fights the device’s dangerous energy to save their school and prevent disaster. This movie is full of 1980s charm.
