when Kevin Feige declare Robert Downey Jr. Played Doctor Doom in “Doctor Doom” Avengers: Doomsdaywho introduced him as Victor von Doom.
The news caused a huge stir among the fan base, leaving many confused as is Downey Jr. playing a variant of Doctor Doom’s Tony Stark from an alternate universe? Or is the actor playing an entirely separate character?
This post was prompted by recent comments from Feige, who said he believed LoganThe ending was stunning, and when Robert Downey Jr. said goodbye to Iron Man, Marvel wanted to do something similar.
“I’ve always been very vocal with Hugh that his ending is one of the best endings for any fictional character,” Feige said. “I told him it’s amazing what he accomplished in Logan. Our goal with Robert Downey Jr. in “Endgame” was to provide a stunning ending to this incredibly iconic fictional character.
So why would they bring back Downey Jr. as an evil version of Tony Stark as Doctor Doom? Well, they’re not.
I always thought he would be a completely different character, and it was recently explained to me that Downey Jr. is actually playing an entirely separate character, so much so that other Marvel characters who know Tony Stark wouldn’t recognize him as Tony Stark.
While I’ve always thought it would be an interesting dynamic to see a character like Spider-Man face off against evil versions of the people he cares about, that doesn’t seem to be the case here. Downey Jr. will play Dr. Doom, which is so weird to me! It seems ridiculous to have Downey Jr. play an entirely new character that has nothing to do with Tony Stark.
However, this is not difficult to achieve, because the face under Doom’s mask is quite exaggerated. They would be able to render him unrecognizable.
As far as the Doom storyline is concerned, previous rumors stated that “Doom is not truly evil; he believes he is saving the multiverse from invasion. According to his twisted logic, the only way for the multiverse to survive is to bring all the The universe is unified.” He believed this was the only way to ensure everyone’s survival. “
We’re not sure if this is the direction the Russo Brothers want the story to go, but it’s a storyline I can see coming. It will be interesting to see how the Doom storyline develops end and secret wars.
What do you think of all this?
