Rapper Rod Wave announced on social media that his concert scheduled for Wednesday night (January 8) at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, has been canceled due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles County.
A post on Rod Wave’s Instagram Story on Wednesday afternoon, featuring ABC News footage of fires raging in Los Angeles, read, “Tonight’s concert canceled by government officials.” “I hope everyone is staying safe,” the rapper added with a praying hands emoji.
The Intuit Dome’s social accounts also shared news of the cancellation, writing: “Due to the wildfires in Los Angeles, tonight’s Rod Wave concert at the Intuit Dome is canceled. The health and safety of our fans and employees remains the top priority. Tickets will be refunded at the original place of purchase.
It’s unclear whether the concert, part of Wave’s final leg of the tour that began in October, will be rescheduled for a later date. The concert’s opening numbers include Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, Lil Poppa, Dess Dior and Eelmatic. The next date on the tour is scheduled for Monday at The Arena in Denver.
