Nyla Harper is everything.
If we are Nyla Harper-centric rookie season 7 episode 9, Mekia Cox blows it out of the water.
It’s better for a rookie to have that talent and provide her with content that shows her range and everything she can do.

Test the friendship between Nira and Nolan at the hour
It was a great season for Harper, although challenging in many ways. But as a favorite character, she has a healthy dose of content this season, which is also a lot of variety, and so much variety.
The hour tried to be her ode. After wiping her through the absolute squirming, she stood out as a disadvantaged woman who fell into the arms of trainees and friends after hearing her incredible, outstanding and heroic people.
We won’t lay as many flowers as possible. As humans, we take each other for granted, not recognizing the importance of these bonds, and the importance of those that are most important to us, until something terrible happens puts things in perspective.
That’s the only reason, just as outrageous as I found Nolan throughout the hour, I felt warm about the real friendship between him and Harper. Their partnership has come a long way.

Although their dynamics aren’t as popular and coveted as Harper and Lopez, it’s also special and one of Harper’s most prized people in the series.
Sometimes it’s easy to forget this, which is why, in a way, I understand why rookies tested it in this hour and why it’s important to eventually show how they can overcome and win.
Nolan told Harper in tears that she was his hero, how much he cared about her and how important it was to him, and one of the most challenging days of Harper’s life, she fell into his arms with tears and enjoying a comforting embrace, a truly moving scene.
Rookie wasted the real tension between Harper and Nolan
That being said, noobs are easier for Nolan than the guarantee of storyline and things.
Again, it goes back to rookies with Nolan problems, who don’t always know how to navigate or deal with it.

Anger is exhausting, perseverance, and things can be. But I was sometimes a flawed person, sometimes a little bitch, so Nolan was frustrated at the center of Harper’s entire world, knocked her down with this kiss and found this photo with Leonard and James at her home.
At this moment, Nolan’s behavior is frustrating, not because he may follow or fail to follow the agreement or try to act as much as possible, but because he has a choice about all of this.
Nolan barely saw enough kisses in Rookie Season 7 Episode 8 to inspire this puzzling motivating plot, leading Harper to become a suspect for Kylie and her own husband.
When he had time to do so, he didn’t even tell Harper, or at least give her anything. The first time he told anyone about the kiss was the kiss he shared with Wesley because it was related to investigation and raised huge questions about colleagues and friend James.
The chaos that erupts from it is frustrating to watch, but it becomes even more difficult when we still have to carry all of Nolan’s skin, illegal acts and things that have been abandoned, whether it’s what he does or Bailey.
Nolan’s recent problems, especially Bailey, undermine the effectiveness of the conflict with Harper

One could have more sympathy for Nolan’s position without following directly the misfortune and subsequent cover-up of his and his wife. When Nyla and James were underperforming this hour, he chose to play books or actor scripts.
So while I can really enjoy the final Nira/Nolan scene, the emotions between these two friends and the rookies who keep this relationship, it also frustrated me.
In fact, there will be more tension between the two, and the rookie sacrifices a realistic description of human emotions to maintain its golden boy.
When this happens, it can harm a great thing like this for an hour.
Another downside of this hour is that it’s not just the whole situation with James and James. This should be the main storyline.
Nyla’s center should actually make her more

This should be the only storyline of this hour. Strangely, James feels like a male version of the series, hurting the characters’ spouse to strengthen their storyline.
Despite James’ multiple gunshot wounds and the tension is high, it quickly disappeared and we never actually gave the space and time to worry about James’ possible death.
After the opening, I wasn’t worried that Neila would lose her husband because they barely updated him for us, and when they did, it was the type of content that happened off-screen, they told Harper that they spilled the audience through intimate moments because their focus was more on attacking all aspects of her husband in all aspects.
Harper learns about kissing or Vivian facing James’ connection with Leonard, which feels like a horrible phone game, and in one of the worst times, the wrong person appears on Harper.

vivian insults Harper sucking
Vivian is especially evil in taking root of corrupt and maintaining certain images of LAPD. She sabotaged her position and stood for breaking the rules, trampled on Harper’s right to be a jerk, and tricked her into testing her.
It’s a weird thing to make everyone suddenly act like a community leader and activist James is in contact with extremists who have historically legal history.
At least Wesley relaxed Harper at another outstanding moment, which crystallized the true friendship and sister/brotherhood between the two couples.
James is his best friend. He knew James wouldn’t cheat Harper and understood why the photo wasn’t surprising.

Lopez doesn’t have any, either. The only factor is that if James had done anything to hurt Nera, Lopez might have murdered himself rather than hired someone else to do it.
Fortunately, this other drama didn’t stop them from pursuing actual shooter and Nana Conner. He was also a bullshit after what he did to the older woman.
But later, her maid tried to take her belongings.
I know the rookie is trying to balance many storylines immediately, some humor and some serious, but this is a classic example of an hour that can benefit from solving this case and focus on Harper.
Bailey derails
They had to end the arson situation, which put me in a dilemma and, ironically, Nolan was performing his dual duty.

Worse, they encountered the whole situation with Celina, Bailey and the kid who robbed methamphetamine and fixed the money on their ass.
The whole storyline felt very out of place during this hour. This is one of many reasons why audiences often struggle with Bailey and her presence on the show.
For some unexplainable reasons, firefighters, veterans and paramedics were dehydrated and passed out in the hospital, and that was the time to choose to include her in all of this.
It would be a big help if they find more organic ways to push her into the plot.
But this isn’t even me being a Bailey hater this time. She really doesn’t need to participate in this episode. Her presence is annoying.
This hour should only focus on Harper so that they can take advantage of their shocking cliffs. Unfortunately, the story still loses momentum and they further get stuck in other plots that may have been elsewhere.
But Mekia Cox? Absolutely make up for an hour’s drawback.
Rookie enthusiasts greet you.
