Russell Crowe will return to the Roman Empire for a new film project in development titled the last druid. Crowe previously starred in the film “The Warriors,” which was set in the Roman Empire. In this new project, he will once again “inspire the warrior within.”
The film will tell the story of “a Roman emperor who discovers a secluded druidic fortress in the mountains of Caledonia. A peace-loving Celtic elder (Crowe) must take up arms to protect his family and Additional casting is underway for People Saved from Destruction.
Will Eubank (underwater, signal) will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with Phil Gawthorn. This seems like it will be another great role for Crowe.
Crowe will next appear in a Sony film Kraven the hunter and historical dramas Nuremberg.
