St. Denis Medical Center returns this week with a new series starring NBC Superstore alum Nico Santos as Rene “Regina George” of the St. Denis Emergency Department. This episode feels like a Supermarket reunion – fans won’t want to miss this one!

Alex is determined to change things, but when she pisses off the “mean girls,” she soon learns why things have stayed the same for quite some time. Rene is the leader of the “Filipino Mafia,” a clique of Filipino nurses within the department who only choose to cooperate with each other. Tensions arise after Alex attempts to divide the team, with both her and Rene struggling to understand the other’s perspective. While Joyce is looking for a new “feature employee,” Bruce, contrary to his nature, tries to show humility and step out of the spotlight. Fun couple Ron and Serena also find themselves at odds over parking space etiquette.

“St. Denis Medical” is a perfect medical situation comedy that takes full advantage of its unusually comedic cast and light-hearted setting. In four episodes, these characters have really left their mark. Could we see more cast members from NBC’s past sitcoms show up? You’ll have to tune in every week to see it!
