The long-awaited Power Book III: Raising Kanan hasn’t disappointed. The series sent us back to southern Jamaica, like Queens we never left.
Power Book III: Improved Kanan Season 4 Episode 1 is a deviation from the premiere of past seasons. This hour is almost a reread of Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 as we see events that led to the shocking death at the end of the third season.
This is an interesting twist. We saw certain events we saw last season through fresh eyes and, perhaps most importantly, we saw something unique from supposedly dead to very active lives.
TV fanatics raised Kanan performer Sascha Penn and series star Mekai Curtis for a few minutes to discuss the premiere event and the entire show, a treat for the long-time audience of the series.
In the case of Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 4, we’ll see Kanan Stark keep growing and continuing to grow as he becomes less and less like the fewer kids we met when we first started.
After the events of Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 Episode 10, we will see Kanan working in many of his past.
Asked about the events of the season three finale of this season and how Kanan is moving forward, Curtis said: “I think we as the audience will see him tear all of that.”
“Everything that happened, especially in the final episode of Season 3, we’ll see him literally in the course of Season 4, literally, what just happened, sitting there, now learning how to move and navigate.
“Get only the information he has and further build his own world.
“I think that’s what happens to all the characters you see, is when they get into these scenes and as they go into these moments and things change and change, it changes them, it changes them, it changes the way they move, what they want to do.
“And, you’re going to keep seeing him doing a lot of things.”
Kanan may eventually have to deal with the unique reappearance, and we find that by the end of season three, we are still alive.
Much of the premiere is dedicated to seeing a unique recovery, which is slow and daunting for those who are being reported for those who feel wronged.
This will be a unique journey this season.
“I think it’s unique, especially when I came back from the beginning,” Pennsylvania explained. “You discovered what was going on in his brain very early on because of what happened.
“So, he has much less strategic significance and much more revenge. His revenge is indeed…it focuses on one person and I think we can all figure out who that person is.
“So, it’s part of his journey in Season 4. He’s angry, he feels betrayed by everyone. He doesn’t know who he can or doesn’t trust. However, at the same time, he wants to be who he used to be. So, like, “What should I do?” ”
“I think there is a reason for uniqueness, and I think he is definitely revenge because of what happened.”
While this season’s unique feature is rediscovering yourself, we will also look at Kanan’s journey from high school scholar to infamous drug dealers.
When Curtis played another season with a complex role, he shared his feelings about what he knew about Kanan this season.
“I feel like every opportunity, or at any time, I’ll find something new about him,” Curtis explained.
“I found some new games to play. I found something new and I might be telling everyone else that nothing happened. We saw the initial power of who Kanan was.
“So my job has always been to give everyone reasons. To unravel who this person is and why this person is, it’s just the whole process. Literally, in every scene, I find new things about Kanan.”
Part of the fun of the series is seeing Kanan’s evolution, almost waiting for the moment that connects you to his actions in the original power.
While some may be waiting for a huge groundbreaking moment that would suggest a transition from teenager Kanan to the adult version we know it, it feels like the deep moments we see shape and shape him to be the man he is going to be.
We wonder if Howard’s death will be one of the moments, Pennsylvania has an interesting view on this, and what else Kanan will deal with in the mid-4 season.
“I think Howard’s death was another brick on the wall of his relationship with his mother because everything went back to Kanan and Lark, right?” Pennsylvania said.
“Everything that happened to him somehow reflects his relationship with his mother, which is clearly the most important and most formial relationship of his life.
“So, this is another piece in this puzzle, it’s really complicated and annoying, and there’s definitely a conversation about it in season 4.
“But what we saw in season 4 is that he became more and more sensitive, which is an incredible problem.
“What we’re starting to see in Season 4 is that violence, loss and chaos are starting to feel comfortable with him in some way.
“It’s not that he doesn’t have the moment he’s still the wide-eyed kid we meet in season one, but rather that he starts living in this chaos and dysfunction, frankly, a bit destructive in the world around him, but his feelings are a bit destructive, too.
“Of course, it all comes from Lark.
“But for Howard all of this, it’s a moment that should change everything, but for him it feels like, ‘Well, look, this is just another part of my life that ends up being the person I end up being.”’
After the premiere hours, the season is ready to be by far the best.
Please share your thoughts on Kanan’s evolution and unique rewards so we can discuss them!
