Last week we learned that Netflix would not be moving forward with a second season Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime series. Now, there are obviously no plans for a second season, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see more projects set in the Star Wars universe scott pilgrim.
Ben David Grabinskiwho has been with scott pilgrim creator Brian Lee O’Malley While developing the series, he recently explained that while a second season was never planned, he wasn’t done playing in the Scott Pilgrim sandbox just yet, hinting that something else might be coming.
He said: “I just want to clarify that I never had any intention of doing a second season of Scott Pilgrim, nor did I have any ideas. But I’m sure I’m not done with SP yet. I’m just saying that because I Keep seeing stories about it being ‘cancelled’.
It seems like he knows something about the future of Scott’s Pilgrim series that the rest of us don’t. Who knows, maybe a spin-off project is in the works.
O’Malley shared news of the cancellation, saying: “It’s been a year Scott Pilgrim Takes Off came out. It was a privilege to work with all the cast and crew from all over the world. It’s like conducting a symphony orchestra every day.
“From that moment on [series writer BenDavid Granbinski] The idea was sparked and the project felt like a one-of-a-kind miracle. Regardless, we were recently told that the show won’t be returning.
“As you know, we were only planning to make one season and had a lot of help making it happen, so making more seasons was next to impossible. Still, I know some of you have been holding out hope. .
