According to “Variety”, “Sugar” has been renewed for a second season on Apple TV+.
The first season of the show, starring Colin Farrow, premiered on Apple in April. Farrell will return for season two.
The show tells the story of Los Angeles private detective John Sugar (played by Ferrell). The official description for season two states, “Sugar will find himself back in Los Angeles working on another missing persons case while continuing to search for answers about his missing sister.”
“We’re thrilled to see audiences around the world embracing Sugar, and we’re excited to return for a second season,” said executive producers Audrey Jean and Simon Kinberg. “We’re extremely grateful to our partners at Apple for their support, our showrunner Sam Catlin, the talented Colin Farrell, and of course our viewers. We can’t wait to have John Sugar back on the case.
