Shakira continues to shine advertising billboardHer latest single “Soltera” debuts at the top of the Latin airplay charts (dated January 4, 2025).
Shakira’s total number of Latin Airplay titles has increased to 24, extending the record for most female titles since the ranking’s inception in 1994. The closest female competitor, Karol G, has 18 first-place finishes. Across all acts, Shakira tied with Maluma for sixth place.
“Soltera” peaked at the top of the Latin pop charts and dominated the Latin pop charts for 12 weeks. The song attracted 11 million listeners across all formats in the U.S. during the tracking week of Dec. 20-26, according to Luminate.
With “Soltera” becoming the new lead song of the week, it surpasses Karol G’s “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” which has reigned for 23 weeks, the second-longest No. 1 on Latin Airplay. Overall, Shakira’s own song “La Tortura” (featuring Alejandro Sanz) stayed at number one for 25 weeks in 2005. A record of 23 consecutive weeks at No. 1; the latter set a record of 23 consecutive weeks at No. 1. The first stop at “La Tortura” was interrupted twice.

Additionally, with “Soltera” leading the way for Latin songs, it becomes Shakira’s first No. 1 without any collaborators since her eighth No. 1 “Loba” in 2009. 6 solos, including her first four performances between 1998 and 2003, starting with “Ciega, Sordomuda”.
In October, “Soltera” debuted at No. 9 on the Hot Latin Songs chart based on streams, airplay and sales. This is her 37th time in the top 10, the most by a woman since the survey began in 1986.
