The Venice Film Festival has announced its 2024 line-up of masterclasses and conversations.
Actor and director Ethan Hawke and Italian filmmaker Pupi Avati will also give masterclasses at the 81st Venice International Film Festival.
The conversation series organized by Venice in partnership with Cartier includes sit-downs with Richard Gere, Oscar-winning composer Nicola Piovani (life is beautiful) and French director Claude Rousseau (a man and a woman).
Masterclasses will be held from August 29 to September 6 at the Venetian Tennis Club’s Match Point Arena opposite the Lido Excelsior Hotel. It’s time for class to kick off. Weir’s masterclass will be on Sunday, September 1 at 3:30 pm. 30.
Conversation programs will take place on Saturday, August 31 – with Piovani at 11am and Leloch at 4:30pm – and on Sunday, September 1st, with Gere at 10:30am. Both the masterclass and the conversation will be hosted on the Venice Film Festival website: www.labiennale.org.
The 81st Venice Film Festival will be held from August 28 to September 7.
