Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre hope to make a splash in the spirits industry again with the launch of Still GIN alcohol.
inspired by 2001 Still GIN launches at select retailers nationwide on Tuesday (October 15), featuring “Still DRE.” According to a press release, the spirit features a “modern and elegant blend of delicate botanicals, bursting with notes of tangerine, jasmine and coriander, leading to an unforgettable aromatic finish.”
“This is not a wine that we just put a name on,” Dr. Dre said in a statement. “It’s just like what we do with Beats headphones. Everything is us Starting from scratch: gin, flavour, packaging. Everything has to be perfect. Snoopy said it best: We’re better together – it’s always magic. It’s incredible when you know you’ve got something amazing and you think it’s going to really work. From appearance to taste, it’s all there.
Still GIN is available in honeycomb 750ml bottles on the TotalWine website for $59.99.
“Every day in the studio, as Dre and I try to make the most exciting music possible, we drink gin and have fun,” Snoop Dogg added. “We were involved in the development of this gin – from the creation of the flavors, to the alcohol content in it – and it’s fantastic! Dre is a perfectionist: he wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we don’t do anything conventional.
Snoop and Dre made their first foray into the spirits industry with the launch of a gin and juice cocktail, which launched in February.
“Still DRE” originally entered the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999, peaking at No. 91, and then re-entered the Hot 100 in 2022, peaking at No. 23.
Music comes from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, who are teaming up for their first full-length project since 1993 doggy style. The sequel to Snoopy’s debut film is aptly titled missionary, and is expected to be released in November.
