Sony Music Publishing has signed a deal with producer Mike Dean and several members of his producer collective MWA, including Sean Solymar, Tommy Rush and Sage Skolfield.
The company also has a strategic partnership with MWA to promote the creative development of new talent.
Grammy Award winner Mike Dean is known for his work as a producer, engineer, mixer and multi-instrumentalist.
Sony Music Publishing notes that Dean, whose work spans hip-hop, pop, experimental rock and soul, began his career in the early ’90s performing “pioneering work with Southern rap icons such as Scarface, Ugk and Devin The Dude. ”.
Since then, he has continued to work with artists including Travis Scott (ASTROWORLD, pathological pattern), Beyoncé (lemonade), Frank Ocean (blonde), leaf (My beautiful dark twisted fantasy, mercy), weekend (The beauty behind the madness)etc.
As an artist, Dean has performed at sold-out headlining shows at Wiltern in Los Angeles and toured with The Weeknd as the opening act for his After Hours Till Dawn stadium tour across the United States.
He has also scored all of HBO’s productions Idol Working with The Weeknd and Sam Levinson, who also plays himself in the show.
