When NCIS: Origins Season 1 Episode 4 hits the airwaves, the hunt begins. At least we finally have something to focus on besides Gibbs.
Not that the character doesn’t lead an exciting series. However, Gibbs seems to be on everyone’s mind lately. This person will need time and space to strategize, but we will get there.
NCIS: Origins finally gets off the ground with some intense cases. If there’s one thing that unites the team toward one goal, it’s finding missing children.
Nothing makes adults act faster than the thought of an innocent child being taken away from their parents. Maybe the team can finally function as a whole instead of talking to each other one by one.
Many viewers commented that the team behind NCIS: Origins lacked the team effort that its sister series possesses. I heard that, and I agree a little bit.
For a prequel series like NCIS: Origins, it should be where it all begins. To sell the premise, things have to be even more abnormal than they are in the future.
Think about it. If the station was run by rules and protocols like a regular station, Gibbs would never have been hired. The show makes great strides in reminding viewers that Gibbs failed the psychological test.
As a result, “NCIS: Origins” doesn’t yet have the same chemistry as other episodes in the series. Have a little faith, because there’s something about it that brings these people together as a family.
If they need help with this case, call Morgan at High Potential. In High Potential Season 1 Episode 4, she almost turns the tables on her search for two little girls.
However, given Gibbs’ recent losses, I have a feeling he’s about to become “Papa Bear” throughout the case. May heaven help the rest of the team.
Gibbs is a battered, battered, and bruised man ready to do something bad
It’s clear from the image of young Gibbs that things are not going well for the man. Who can blame him? He lost the two most important people in his life. He lost his family.
Considering where this season is likely to go, it’s no wonder the writers went to great lengths to show just how broken the character is. He is a good man who wants to do bad things.
We finally got a clear timeline of Gibbs’ life from NCIS: Origins Season 1 Episode 3.
Will working a case involving a missing little girl put Gibbs in trouble? We already know he has no problem breaking the rules of justice, as he did when he trapped Prado in an elevator in the previous episode.
I saw a lot of comments from viewers saying Gibbs was poorly cast. If you’re like me, you might think the height difference between these two actors is too big.
Austin Stowell looks much taller than Mark Harmon. I hate to break it to you, but there’s only an inch of height difference between them.
If the problem is in their face, I can’t help you. People look different as they age. I show people pictures of me from ten years ago and they don’t recognize me. opinions, people.
‘NCIS: Origins’ Overused Tropes Add Much-Needed Lightness to the Series
In the last frame of the promo, Mary Jo can be seen startled. If you’ve read my previous review, you’ll know that I love this character.
She didn’t get a lot of screen time, so while I’m glad everything that happened gave us more of Mary Jo, the writers had better not hurt a hair on that woman’s head.
If you read the NCIS: Origins premiere review, you know that I viewed the character of Mary Jo as a cliche and a trope. She was a sassy older black woman who did all the administrative work.
This is an incredibly overused trope that still shows up on shows like Matlock. However, I hate to say it, but the metaphor works. It adds fun where needed.
But once again, nothing better happened to the character. You never know who will live or die in the prequel series. Especially characters introduced for the first time.
What makes someone like Gibbs abandon his beliefs and take justice into his own hands?
The official synopsis for NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 4 reads: “Still grieving the loss of his wife and daughter, Gibbs helps the team solve a case involving a missing girl. Unable to The moment that redeemably changed Gibbs’ life was revealed.
We’ll likely see what pushes Gibbs over the edge in the next episode. What makes a man like Gibbs take justice into his own hands?
We know Gibbs believes in doing things by the book. He believed in the law and believed that true justice could be achieved. So what made him abandon his beliefs?
One thing we need to focus on is how Agent Dominguez fits into the overall plot. By the end of the first episode, it’s clear that Lala somehow got caught up in Gibbs’ story.
We’ll have to wait and see what NCIS: Origins has in store. However, I would like to pay tribute to Kyle Schmid again. He does a great job playing young Franks.
Apparently, many of you agree. I’ve seen a lot of comments about how well the series did in terms of casting. I’m right next to you. Schmid fully embraces and embodies the role.
With Gibbs, Franks, Lala, Randy, Mary Jo, and even the ever-thirsty Strickland, NCIS: Origins has a well-rounded cast of characters with plenty of fun between them. Stories to flesh out season after season.
No matter where the road leads, you can trust me to enjoy every second of this amazing series with you. Now, check out the promo for CBS’ NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 4 below!
