as: Two things struck me about the TV show I watched last week – first, I have to talk about 9-1-1 (ABC) Episode 3, the final episode of the 3-part Season 8 premiere! The nerve-wracking flight and landing scene, with Barcelona standing at the front, was wonderfully executed and truly breathtaking! From the quote between Bobby and Athena to seeing them reunited and having Bobby by her side when she stayed to perform CPR on the pilot and say “I got you” was awesome – Peter Cross and Angela Bassett They are such great co-stars, have amazing chemistry, they are the #1 couple on the show!
Another scene that shocked me was seeing Stana Katic in small town murder (Fox) plays the villain with such creepy perfection. as a loyal fan castle (ABC) From that day on, think of her as a detective. Kate Beckett, I’ve only seen her in a leading role, and I was completely struck by how disturbing and subtle her behavior was as the villain of the week; there’s some casual psychopathy to her character, but In a very calm way until you start to see her losing control and trying to make things work in her favor. I like it very much!
I haven’t caught the new season premiere yet tracker (CBS) I’m looking forward to seeing Elsbeth (CBS) and Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage (CBS) Premiering later this week – Network TV is back with a bang!
Jordan: I’ve been having a hard time keeping up with the new TV shows this week – but Penguin (HBO) Episode 4 was great! Cristin Milioti won every Emmy, and her multi-layered performance as Sofia Falcone is one of the best character creations of 2024. It’s about to start sweet beans (Sky Atlantic) Same thing tonight – a charming comedy with a dark side that feels perfect this Halloween.
MH: This week marks shrink (Apple TV+), this is awesome bad monkey (Apple TV+) ended last week. I love the world created by Bill Lawrence’s show – a cast portraying flawed characters trying to do the right thing, often relying on inappropriate humor and pop culture references. In the first episode of the season, Jimmy, played by Jason Segal, encounters the drunk driver who killed his wife in a car accident. To complicate matters, the driver is portrayed as shrink Co-creator Brett Goldstein doesn’t have Roy Kent’s characteristic mustache. The exchange between the two is heartbreaking. Jimmy tries to figure out how to share the news with his daughter Alice, which creates a perfectly inappropriate scene of humor in the second episode.
Joe: I have to say Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone in Episode 4 Penguin (HBO) It’s truly incredible. Her final scene in the episode wearing a yellow dress really highlights her complete transformation as a character, as we witness her truly becoming her father’s daughter. Cristin Milioti needs an Emmy nomination for his performance. I highly recommend Penguin The series is a fantastic show in its own right for comic book fans and non-comic book TV fans alike.
I’m looking forward to episode five Penguin (HBO), Episode 4 superman and lois (The CW) and more episodes matlock (CBS) After Kathy Bates’s stellar performance in the pilot episode.
羅: Last week, there were scenes from two shows that blew me away and left me excited for what’s to come. First of all, I had a great time 9-1-1 (ABC) This past week! The scene where the plane lands on the 110 Freeway is great, but there are many other great moments: Buck waving the red light to clear the highway as the plane flies over him is also great, as is the scene with the 118 at LAX. The scenes with other people watching together are also great. Finally there are the Barthena moments: Bobby waiting on top of the fire truck as the plane approaches, Athena’s conversation with Bobby as the plane lands, and their final reunion – this episode made it clear to me why they are The main couple in the show. I think it was a perfect ending to this initial arc, and much better executed than last season’s cruise ship disaster, as this episode was tense and funny while also being a strong centerpiece of Basena that was smart enough to make all the other main characters Be part of the story in a fun and engaging way. I love it!
Only murders in the building (Hulu), on the other hand, offers one of my favorite (and most unexpected) Meryl Streep moments on 4.07. I still don’t know who the killer is this season; the whodunnit aspect has never been better, so looking forward to watching 7.09 next week so maybe I can at least get a clue or a theory. Finally, I’m looking forward to it 9-1-1 This Halloween episode is just because this season is so good and the themed episodes are the most fun!
South Korea: Last week, American Horror Story (FX) Season 4 began streaming on Hulu, and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into another epic season of this horror series. There are so many shocking events and stories happening in every episode, so I’m excited that this season will bring even more excitement and thrillers.
Electric car: I started to watch house (Apple TV+).
house is the story of two competing fashion houses in Paris, France. For example, a succession There are many merdes and putaines. I wasn’t convinced for the first half hour and I thought about giving up.
Then the last half hour of the first episode grabbed me.
Vincent’s former muse Perle (Amira Casal) remains in his shadow, and she becomes involved with visionary next-generation designer Paloma Castel (Zita Hanrot). ) teamed up to save, develop and renew the century-old Maison LEDU.
I hope to see this develop in future episodes.
I think I have a new (temporary) obsession with television.
VL: This fall TV lineup is amazing. Jesse Lee Soffer joined FBI: International Division (CBS) this week, and boy did I miss the chance to see that guy in action. Admittedly, I had never watched the show before he joined (I’m sorry!), but his performance in this episode was top-notch. I can’t wait to watch the rest of this season (I promise I’ll watch the previous seasons as well because it’s such a great cast!).
ZF: established (NBC) and Abbott Elementary School (ABC) has definitely been the highlight of my week lately!
This concludes another roundtable! Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below. See you next week!
