Spotlight features this sci-fi thriller Hotspot Directed by director Agnieszka Smoczyńska.
The film stars Noomi Rapace, Andrzej Konopka and Rika Kirishima and wrapped production in Greece last week. Focus reunites with Smoczyńska after releasing first English-language feature silent twinsstarring black panther Breakout Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrence.

Fox’s president of production and acquisitions said in a statement.
The American studio selected all regions in the world except Poland, Greece and France. Hotspotbased on a screenplay by Robert Bolesto. In this independent film set in a near-future society ruled by sentient artificial intelligence, a private detective investigates a murder, only to discover a rebel group capable of undermining the digital overlords.

The film is produced by Smolczynska’s long-time producing partner Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska, who also co-produced silent twinsand Bogna Szewczyk-Skupień of Polish production company Madants. Co-producers include Amanda Livanou of Neda Film, Kristina Börjeson of Film i Väst, Lizette Jonjic of Zentropa, Beata Ryczkowska and Filip Bałdyga of Canal+ Polska, and Adam Gudell of Moderator Inwestycje.
Gregory Yankilevich, Marcin Chernik and Christos V. Konstantakopoulos serve as executive producers. Focus’ Michelle Momlaisir is overseeing the project for the studio.
The distribution agreement was negotiated by Focus senior vice president of commercial affairs Iddo Arad and producers Przybecki & Partners. Smoczyńska is represented by UTA, Black Bear and High Spot. Konopka is represented by Contact-act.
Rapace is represented by CAA and Stella Hernström, and her deal was negotiated by Kurt Selling. Kirishima’s representative company is Nest Co.
