Steve Lund (bitten) serves as new fire captain Cooper, who will be part of the ensemble cast this season. Battlestar Galactica plays the role of Helen Culver, a bestselling author who starts to stay at the intersection; Joel Oulette (Avatar: The Last Airbender) plays Frank’s cousin Jacob Cranebear. In addition, the stars of Torri Higginson (transplant) and John Ralston (Vilgin River) are Cal’s mother Marissa and Jed’s father respectively. Returning guest stars Peter Outerbridge (designated survivor) plays Walter Lancaster; Cindy Sampson (Private Eye) as Jane; and Glenn Perry’s Deam Armstrong (Queer) also return to Season 3.
