Tonight’s episode of Sullivan’s Crossing was filled with drama, emotional revelations and key decisions. Each character faces a critical moment in which they realize their situation and their choices, prioritizing their own happiness. From heartfelt conversations to unexpected confrontations, this episode explores the complexities of personal growth and the importance of following your heart.
The episode begins with Sully, Frank, and Edna discussing Maggie’s situation with Walter. Sully’s frustration with Andrew becoming a father to his grandson is palpable, and he inadvertently reveals Maggie’s pregnancy to Frank and Edna. While Edna is ecstatic, Frank suggests that Sully accept Andrew for the sake of Maggie and her baby, giving Sully a poignant moment of realization.
Maggie meets Phoebe at Sully’s house and they reminisce about old photos. Phoebe shares her past experiences, including her strict father and the sense of liberation she felt when she first met Sully. Their conversation deepens as Phoebe reveals her struggles with missing city life and Sully’s descent into alcoholism. Maggie, for her part, opened up about her uncertainty about her career. She began to feel that she entered neurosurgery to please Walt rather than because it was something she wanted. This was a huge realization for Maggie, but not a surprise. Maggie had been struggling with her career choice, and after her conversation with Carl, who told her she should do what made her happy, it became clear that neurosurgery wasn’t the choice for her.

As Sydney prepares to leave for New York, she goes to Sully’s house to say goodbye to Maggie. Maggie updates Sydney on recent developments, including Andrew’s kiss and Carl’s lingering influence. Sidney encourages Maggie to listen to Carl, adding another layer to Maggie’s inner conflict. Andrew’s attempts to control Maggie, even her coffee intake, create palpable tension with Sidney and highlight his overbearing nature. Maggie’s farewell to Sydney adds a bittersweet tone to the episode. Reconnecting with Sydney is just what Maggie needs. She didn’t have any real friends in Boston, but Sydney provided the support she needed. She was someone Maggie could trust with whom she could share quality moments and whom she could rely on for honesty, not just comfort. Hopefully Sydney will have an epiphany about what she wants in life and return to the crossroads. This can’t be the last we see of her.
Rob’s storyline introduces a new complication when he wakes up next to his softball mom Jane after a night out. Despite her desire for a deeper connection, his awkward and distant behavior toward her highlights the pain he feels at leaving his wife. He later confided what had happened to Carl, who, as always, gave him advice. He told Rob that his wife wanted him to be happy. Rob does deserve happiness, he just needs to let go of the guilt and let Jane in.

There’s a heartwarming moment as Edna shares her excitement about Maggie’s pregnancy and offers sage advice about following your heart. Edna wants Maggie to be happy and she knows she will be with Carl. Edna’s interactions with Phoebe also reveal a softer, more tolerant side of her, and together the two overcome their past and forge a new friendship. Phoebe starts the season with a decidedly nonchalant attitude. However, as the season progresses, it becomes clear that her cautious behavior is the result of Walter’s influence. Her complicated relationship with Walter shapes her behavior, making her cautious and reserved. As she begins to open up and share her story, viewers see a more vulnerable, relatable side of Phoebe.
Sally’s business dealings with Glenn at the golf course raised a hint of suspicion as they negotiated an ownership stake. They struck a deal with Glenn to provide him with 30% of The Crossing. Sally’s excitement is tempered by Frank’s caution, which hints at the possibility of trouble ahead. Meanwhile, Maggie asks Sally to give Andrew a chance, prompting Sally to give in and let go of her hatred of Andrew, which is not easy for Sally to do. To support Maggie, he offers to teach Andrew how to fish. While fishing, Phoebe apologizes to Maggie for keeping her out of the crossroads, admitting her mistake and emphasizing that her intentions were always for Maggie’s benefit. Meanwhile, Andrew remains abrupt with Sully, who suggests they find a way to get along, but Andrew puts the blame back on Sully. Andrew’s unsettling behavior toward Sally and Crossroads, his insistence on returning to Boston, and his assumption that Maggie would give up her career to become a stay-at-home mother ultimately push her to the breaking point.
Andrew apologizes to Maggie because he doesn’t understand why she’s upset. Maggie revealed she wanted to return to work after her baby was born because helping others made her happy and was crucial to being a good mother. Andrew realized they no longer saw eye to eye. Maggie explains that it’s not about Carl, it’s about her finding herself again. She decided she no longer wanted to be with Andrew and wanted to handle the pregnancy on her own, assuring him that he would always be a part of the child’s life. Andrew decided to return to Boston. This was an important step for Maggie, who for the first time put herself first and followed her heart. She cried with relief mixed with a hint of fear for the future. Maggie always does what she thinks is right and never follows her heart. Realizing that she didn’t have to settle for Andrew was a big moment for her.

Meanwhile, the unexpected arrival of Carl’s sister Sedona creates a subplot full of mystery and concern. Although she told Carl she came because her family was worried about him, it was clear there was more to her visit. Carl takes her to Shanton’s house, where they meet Laura. She asks Carl about her case, but he says he can’t help due to a lack of evidence or witnesses. Sedona, the therapist, suggested that Laura revisit the scene of the accident to stimulate repressed memories. This is definitely a sign of things to come. Visiting the scene of the accident again after many years will definitely bring back memories of the accident. It was only a matter of time before she remembered that Sully had attacked her. Hopefully he’ll confess to her before she finds out.
Later, Sedona suffered from migraines until things took a harrowing turn. She insisted she could hear children screaming outside, even though Carl told her there were no children outside. Distraught, she finally calmed down. Carr revealed that he spoke with her husband and learned that she left suddenly without telling him or her children. Carl suspects something is wrong and confronts Sedona, but she becomes defensive and refuses to admit anything. Things get darker at the Outpost after Maggie tells Sally she broke up with Andrew. Carl and Sedona arrive to get the keys to her cabin, but Sedona suddenly passes out and suffers a seizure. Maggie helped her, and Carl’s eyes darkened with fear. Sedona is definitely dealing with some kind of illness. Hopefully Maggie can help Sedona and it’s not life-threatening.

Connie and Alyssa’s storyline movingly explores Connie’s struggle with her sexuality and the social pressures she faces. Alyssa’s understanding and kindness provide a glimmer of hope and acceptance, demonstrating the show’s commitment to addressing diverse and relevant issues.
