Summer Walker releases her new single “Heart of a Woman” on Friday (October 25) via LVRN and Interscope Records.
“Heart of a Woman” is the lead single from her upcoming third studio album It’s finally over. The new LP follows the theme of Walker’s second album in 2021, still on it, And the first album in 2019, over it. Both versions are among the best advertising billboard‘s top R&B/Hip-Hop album charts, and still on it It also topped the Billboard 200.
In an album teaser video she posted on Instagram earlier this month, the Atlanta-born R&B hitmaker jumped out of the shower at home and donned a bright pink robe. She held a glass of wine and listened to the voice message left on the answering machine. “Damn, are you doing this to me? I’m just helping my cousin get groceries. Hit me up when you can talk. I know you’re finally over it, but damn, let’s talk, I love You,” the message read. Walker broke the glass in her hand. The caption read: “It’s finally over. Call me before I change my number: 404-476-6404.” She then posted the audio from the teaser video on DSP with the caption “+1(404) 476-6404 “.
Walker released an EP last year, Clearance 2: Soft Lifewhich included two collaborations with J. Cole (“To Summer, From Cole – Audio Hug”) and Childish Gambino (“New Type”). The nine-song album peaked at No. 26 on the Billboard 200 and No. 7 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
