    Super fan platform Mellomanic (formerly We Are Giant) completes US$6 million in financing

    Investment in superfan platforms is increasing as companies become more aware of the potential to tap into dedicated fan bases. As the music industry shifts toward engaging directly with fans, platforms that facilitate deeper connections between artists and their most loyal fans are attracting significant interest from investors.

    One of them is the music social platform Melomanicformerly known as us yes huge. After raising $8 million from Sterling Partners To fuel the launch of its platform last year, the company now says it has raised another round of funding $6 million to promote its expansion.

    The latest funding round is backed by new and existing investors including Sterling Partners, as well as a range of family offices and music industry veterans, bringing the total funding raised by the new startup to $13.8 million.

    Mellomanic said that since January this year, the company has grown rapidly, exceeding 400,000 Number of monthly active users – increased 13,000%. The startup says the surge in users reflects growing demand for a space where super fans can connect with artists and each other through immersive experiences. Major record labels such as Atlantic Records, Def Jam, Big Loud, Elektra, Sony Music Nashville, and Virgin Music Group All have cooperated with the platform.

    The platform is built around collectiveor genre-specific communities that help increase artist discoverability. Each collective will host curated listening parties, livestreams and virtual festivals, giving artists the opportunity to make the most of moments like album releases and pre-release sharing. The current collective includes We are different, We are pop music, We are hip hop, and the recently launched We are the country. artists like Cameron Marlowe, big Sean, Luch Taylor, JiangxiDNand Erin Kinsey Already showing up at these collective listening gatherings.

    In addition to fan engagement, Mellomanic provides artists with new ways to monetize their work and control fan relationships. The startup says that by sharing unique fan data, artists can make more informed career decisions.
