Sundance Film Festival’s upcoming first edition in Boulder, Colorado, (January 21-31, 2027) will bring expanded competition sections, a new Fipresci Award, and the return of New Frontier after a two-year pause.

As many as 5,000 students from different schools in Hyderabad will attend special screenings of the documentary Nocturnes, beginning July 20, at PVR multiplexes across the city. The screenings are a part of the nationwide Nocturnes Travelling Cinema initiative by the film’s directors Anirban Dutta and Anupama Srinivasan.

When the Sundance Film Festival makes its debut in Boulder in January, tens of thousands of attendees will descend on the city. They will do deals, go to screenings and walk the red carpet, creating demand for places to stay beyond the city’s hotels.
