Having left Romania during her doctorate, almost convinced that she would not work as a director of photography in the film industry, after meeting Romanian misogyny full-on, Diana Vidrașcu got to Paris in 2013, studying at Sorbonne, and France gave her the chance to do what she had dreamed of doing.
