The 28th Tallinn Black Night Film Festival announces the winners silent city driver Mongolian director Sengedorj Janchivdorj won the Official Selection Award for Best Film, and Munkhbat Shirnen won the honor for Best Production Design.
The film tells the story of a 32-year-old man who, after being imprisoned for 14 years for his role in a murder case, faces social ostracism and health challenges due to prison beatings and can only find solace by caring for stray dogs. Pirjo Lonka and Elina Knihtilä shared the best actress award for their performance in Teemu Nikki’s Finnish comedy 100 liters of gold. Lee Hyo-ye wins best actor award for performance in Korean thriller cycle Directed by director Sang-Beom Koo.
turkish drama Rabbit Empire Director Seyfettin Tokmak won Best Cinematography and Best Screenplay. Diego Figueroa wins first best director award in feature film category for his Chilean horror film A house of jackals.

In the Teens and Kids section, Just Film, be opposed to Danish director Jonas Risvig won the Youth Jury Award for Best Film and the Grand Prix. Other youth category winners include I accidentally wrote a book! Best Children’s Movies and Nico – Beyond the Northern LightsIt is the latest entry in Finland’s long-running holiday series, which won the Early Childhood Jury Prize.
