‘Tis the season of giving, and the ARIA charts bring plenty of musical cheer. Taylor Swift and Rosé hit some major milestones just in time for the holidays.
Swift continues to break records on the ARIA Album Chart, while Rosé holds steady at No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and the Christmas classic rocks the stage.
Swift’s tortured poets department Unstoppable remains at No. 1 on the album charts for an eighth consecutive week. In 2024, Taylor has dominated the ARIA charts for the 18th week with multiple albums. Yes, she even managed to surpass herself, breaking her record of 17 consecutive weeks dating back to 2023.
Even more exciting is that Stray Kids debut at No. 4 with their mixtape Jump. Led by Aussies Felix and Bangchan, following last year’s success, the two K-pop superstars proved they are a force to be reckoned with five stars.
Meanwhile, Michael Bublé Christmas Festive Return, returning from the top ten to number nine, because let’s face it – Christmas just isn’t complete without Bublé crooning in the background.
On the singles chart, Rosé and Bruno Mars’ hit single “APT.” Showing no signs of slowing down, it remains at No. 1 for its seventh week in a row. Speaking of holiday magic, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” soars from No. 8 to No. 3. At this point, her timeless anthem is poised to once again dominate the holiday charts.
Festive cheer continues to litter the charts. Wham!’s “Last Christmas” climbs all the way to No. 7, while Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree” cracks the top 10 at No. 10.
Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” rises to No. 14, and Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” rises to No. 18, proving that The season of giving is also the season of rankings. Lola Young changed everything with her breakthrough single “Messy”, which jumped from No. 18 to No. 6, marking the British singer’s first top ten hit in Australia.
