It’s that time of year when people think about being grateful for the special people in their lives, and Jason Kelce has someone in particular he’s grateful for. During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show on Monday (November 25), the former Philadelphia Eagles center told the host that being drawn into Taylor Swift’s orbit over the past year has been a “whirlwind.”
Since his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, started dating Swift last summer, Jason told Eisen some people have been asking him for tickets to her big Eras Tour stadium show, And he always gave the same answer. “Thankfully, there weren’t a lot of people reaching out for Taylor Swift’s tickets… which was an immediate rejection. But, I don’t know much about it,” Jason Kelce said.
That being said, Jason noted that Swift has been adamant that anyone needed to wrap up the tour with the final three shows scheduled for next week at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver is completely welcome to attend. . “Taylor said she would take care of anyone I asked,” he said. “She did say that, and she was great, but I still said no to everyone.”
Jason, who is expecting his fourth child with wife Kylie Kelce, explained that he just didn’t want to be the one to impose on the 34-year-old singer or put her in an awkward position . Why? Because, he said, “She’s just lovely to our family and she’s a great person and I don’t want that to be a dynamic.”
Eisen asked Kelce to clarify that Swift offered him a “clear path” to get tickets, but the former NFL star shut them down. “Yeah… where’s the line? That’s right, so I didn’t even bring that up,” he said. “I want to stay away from the team.”
Like his brother, Jason has performed at a number of Eras Tour shows, including shows in London with Kelly in June and in Miami with their two eldest daughters last month. Additionally, Taylor was often spotted hanging out in the skybox with the Kelce family at Travis Chiefs games this past year.
