The TCM Classic Film Festival returns to Hollywood for its 16th edition, April 24-27, with a theme that would make Jean Renoir and Styx proud: “Grand Illusion: The Cinema “Fantasy World”.
Prior to this popular event, TCM will expand its film festival footprint with “TCM Classic Film Festival: New York Pop-up x 92NY” in partnership with Manhattan’s 92nd Street Y.
The one-day event will include three shows and take place on Saturday, January 25.
Films screening at TCM’s Hollywood flagship over four days will “include mesmerizing fantasy worlds and incredible stories – from myths and magical creatures to ghost encounters and time travel,” according to a press release. “The greatest achievements of cinematic imagination will be on display.”
“Each year, the team at Turner Classic Movies works hard to bring movie lovers a festival that highlights the best in classic cinema and allows us to come together to celebrate the artists we love,” Warner Bros. Pictures Group Inc. said. – Chairman and CEOs Mike De Luca and Pamela Abdy said in a statement. “The 2025 festival will once again be a must-attend event for moviegoers, and we look forward to kicking off another incredible lineup of films with everyone on opening night.”

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, site of the first Academy Awards in 1929, will once again become the gathering place for the film festival. Passes will go on sale in December.
