The Beast Within Me has an impressive team, from the cast to multiple executive producers, including lead actor Claire Danes and series creator Gabe Rote.
Others behind the scenes include Howard Gordon as EP showrunner, Daniel Peele as writer and EP, David Kissinger as EP and director, Conan O’Brien, Antonio Campos as EP and Jeff Ross as EP Jodie Foster.
Before the show hit theaters, we were only given a brief synopsis of the show to whet our appetite for what was to come.
The Netflix limited series will follow the storyline of reclusive author Aggie Wiggs, who is hiding from life while mourning the loss of her son.
A real-life mystery happening next door inspires her investigative spirit to write a new book as she attempts to discover the truth about her new neighbor, Nile Sheldon.

The Beast Within Me is an upcoming limited series about a woman living in isolation after losing her young son.
She gave up her life and writing career.
That is until she becomes entangled in a mystery that reawakens her writing spirit after meeting her new next-door neighbor. A prominent real estate agent neighbor was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance.
What ensues is an intense game of cat and mouse as Wiggs investigates her neighbor to see if she lives next to a killer and may risk her life to learn the truth.
How many episodes does “The Beast Within Me” have?
“The Beast Within Me” begins film production in September 2024.
We expect to see eight to ten episodes in the first season.
Who is the actor in “The Beast Within Me”?
The Beast Within Me will feature an impressive cast, executive directors and producers to bring the intriguing storyline to life.
Claire Denis
The beautiful and talented Claire Danes will play Aggie Wiggs, a famous author who lives in isolation after the death of her child.
Still shaken by her unexpected loss, Wiggs became a recluse, shutting out the world and her story as she retreated within herself.
That is until she meets a new tainted neighbor, awakening the dormant writer she had suppressed in her grief, and she becomes obsessed with discovering the truth behind the man’s attempts to escape his demons.
Dane has had an impressive and award-winning career, including multiple Emmy Awards and nominations for her recent work on Homeland and Temple Grandin. She also won a Golden Globe for “Fleshman in Trouble.”
Matthew Rhys
Matthew Rhys will play Nile Sheldon, a famous and powerful real estate agent who moves in next door to Aggie. As the former prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance, his shady past inspired the reclusive Aggie’s idea for a new book.
We saw Reese in “The Americans,” for which he received three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and two Golden Globe Award nominations.
He played the eponymous character on HBO’s “Perry Mason” and has also appeared in “Cocaine Bears,” “The Report,” “The Post” and “Burned.”
He will also play iconic George Carlin in the upcoming Saturday Night movie.
David Lyons
Lyons will play FBI agent Brian Abbott. That’s all we know now.
Lyons has appeared in previous Netflix series such as 7 Seconds, Apple TV+’s Told, the Australian international series Troppo and the NBC series ER.
He has also appeared in films such as “She Rides Shotgun” and “Eat, Pray, Love.”
Brittany Snow
Brittney Snow will play Nile’s wife, Nina. It’s unclear if she is the missing person and they will show her via flashbacks, or if she is the current wife replacing the missing person.
Snow is best known for her role in Pitch Perfect. But early post-Y2Kers may remember her from such classics as “Hairspray,” “John Tucker Must Die,” “Prom Night” and “Bushwick.”
She’s also busy filming TV series like “American Dreams” and “Guiding Light,” as well as the upcoming “The Night Guy” (Season 2) and “Hunting Wife.”
Natalie Morales

Morales stars in series such as “Abby” and “The Grinder” and has appeared on shows such as “White Collar,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “History of the World Part II” and “Parks and Recreation.”
Tim Guiney
As his name suggests, Wrecking Ball has an intimidating presence. He will be a wrench in Nile’s life, causing chaos.
Guinee has appeared in Homeland, The Good Wife, The Staircase, Horizon: An American Legend, Hell on Wheels and Anna’s Invention.

Since filming for The Beast Within Me has just begun, a trailer has not yet been released. We’ll update this article when a promotional trailer is released.
When will The Beast Within Me premiere?
Filming for The Beast Within Me is still ongoing, so a release date has yet to be confirmed. We don’t expect to see The Beast Within Me on Netflix until late 2025 to early 2026.

The Beast Within Me is a Netflix production and therefore available for streaming on Netflix. We don’t know yet if an entire season will be dropped at once, or if it will be done in an episode-at-a-time format.
