Anime streamer Crunchyroll has acquired North American rights to the dark fantasy omnibus film, with options for international territories Attack on Titan: Final Attack. Crunchyroll revealed the news Thursday at CCXP (formerly Comic Con Experience) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company describes the launch as “a cinematic experience combining the final chapters of the critically acclaimed animated series into one blockbuster film.”
Crunchyroll is developing the game in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The two companies, both part of Sony Group, said they would release the film in early 2025.

The original animated series premiered in 2014 and ran for four seasons, concluding in the fall of 2023, earning rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Three of the seasons have received 100% critical scores and over 90% audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

In recent years, Crunchyroll and SPE have been increasing the theatrical output of top anime works, catering to the global popularity of the Japanese anime genre.
