As someone who doesn’t care about the first two venom movie, I wasn’t excited about this third movie, I was just expecting another mediocre movie, it should have been much better than it turned out to be.
I’ll eventually get around to watching it, but I’m in no rush.

The Wrap: This site’s reviewers are not fans. “If this is what Sony thinks a Venom movie should be, they can keep it,” the review concluded. “What a terrible way to say goodbye. No greatest hit. Just a strikeout.”
IGN’s verdict, on the other hand, reads: “Venom: The Last Dance does a disservice to itself, allowing a boring, mediocre plot and poor action to distract from the intriguing relationship between Eddie Brock and his symbiotic friends. Surprisingly elastic core relationship attention.
The empire walked away unhappy. “It’s third-time misfortune for a series that hasn’t figured out what it wants to be. The Last Dance can’t find its rhythm.”
We Live Entertainment: “There’s no doubt that ‘Venom’ is still a weird show, but I’m glad to see ‘The Last Dance’ allowing the series to finally find its feet.”

The film is directed by Kelly Marcel (fifty shades of gray). She also wrote and produced the first two “Venom” films. The screenplay for the third film was based on a story she co-wrote with Hardy.
