The Rookie Season 7 has already been an exciting ride, with a newbie, two of the series’ biggest villains, and a weird reset for Chen Ford.
But The Rookie Season 7 Episode 4 previewed some returns, including Wesley’s return to the D.A.’s office, Lucy’s instinctive suspicion of Seth, Bailey’s return, and my testy patience with the latter.
Hey, just because Rookie Barbie is a little more tolerable now, that doesn’t mean she’s no longer annoying. There, I said it.
Bailey is back, but not really back
At the end of The Rookie Season 7 Episode 2, Bailey returns home to newly installed security guards and Nolan has no idea how to work for anything in the world.
Nolan longs to have his wife back, and I think we like that about him too. However, that doesn’t change that Jason is still in the wind and possibly plotting.
We see how reckless Nolan is as he tries to understand Jason’s location in hopes of knocking him out before Bailey comes back.
He made a mess of things, which brought a sour taste to an otherwise solid and entertaining episode.
But now, because he’s stirring things up again to frame Jason, he may be putting Bailey in even greater danger, which is why the promo teases that she’s not in the Nolan House.
During this time, Bailey must hide herself in a secret location, and Nolan doesn’t want her back until he knows she’s safe.
For reasons I’m not sure of, there are rumors and speculation that Bailey was at Lucy and Selina’s apartment. I can’t imagine this.
St. Lucie takes in more stray cats than the neighborhood cat lady, and we know that in addition to living with Selena, her ex-boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend sleeps on her couch.
I can’t imagine she has room for another person, but the series also likes to insert Bailey into random places, like a square peg in a round hole, which might make for some interesting “girls” That’s what they plan to do at night.
But it’s also possible that Bailey is chilling out at a hotel somewhere. We’ll have to see.
Lucy is busy taking care of Seth
The allure of Seth’s sweet, nerdy demeanor and his fun cop sidekick with Miles might fool some of us. For “some of us,” I’m not afraid to admit that this is who I am.
However, many people noticed that Seth was a suspicious figure. He made some pretty big mistakes, which is not unusual for a rookie.
However, he has a bad or sad story or excuse to justify everything. Notably, in The Rookie Season 7 Episode 1, the reason he froze at the scene of an accident was because his high school ex-girlfriend overdosed and died in front of him.
The reason he was late for roll call was to make a doctor’s appointment, where he was to undergo a test to see if the cancer he had some time ago was no longer in remission.
If Lucy had some doubts in this episode, it’s probably because he had another story to prove he screwed up while on set. However, he can get his health results back and keep them, although they are important in determining whether he should remain on site.
However, this is also a rookie. They might give up something else entirely.
Wesley returns to the DA’s office, but the past haunts him
Wesley, who has the difficult task of listening to all of Blair’s clients’ therapy sessions, has been unhappy with Graham’s enthusiasm for Angela.
Luckily, they are continuing this storyline or giving us a reprieve when Wesley returns to work at the DA’s office.
It looks like they’re welcoming him with open arms again, but it won’t be long before his past is somehow connected to the current police investigation and he’ll likely have to help in some way.
Given the nature of the cases the team is working on, it could be related to someone Wesley defended before moving to the District Attorney’s Office.
Is the team looking for the next Ted Bundy?
This is a serial murderer case that is about to become the center of attention.
We can expect all the moves the rookie handles so well with all the characters on deck.
What’s most exciting, according to Angela, is that Lopez and Harper could be at the forefront of the investigation as they discover a bound woman in the trunk of a car and hunt down a man who may be leading Serial killers like Ted Bundy and others.
That’s a big contribution for a rookie, and you can tell from the promo that they live for all the action and excitement.
The serial killer case is the dramatic moment that will make for a great episode of “The Rookie.”
