Well, the reviews for Yellowstone Season 5 Part Two may be a little mixed so far.
But it is undeniable that this drama has been warmly welcomed by the audience!
As we previously reported, Yellowstone set record ratings when it returned for its final episode on November 10.
At the time, Paramount executives probably thought the news about the show couldn’t be better.
If so, they received a surprise today with the announcement that the series has broken another record.
“Yellowstone” season 5 episode 9 is now the most-watched international premiere in Paramount history, according to a press release issued Wednesday afternoon.
Competition in that sector? You guessed it—last season’s Yellowstone premiere.
Paramount wrote in a statement: “Prior to the season’s launch, ‘Yellowstone’ dominated Paramount’s international streaming landscape and was the show’s most subscribed and viewed show in all Paramount+ international markets. The number one driver of minutes.
“Building on its explosive debut, the latest season ensures the show continues its status as a top choice among Paramount subscribers worldwide.”
The news comes on the heels of more good news from Paramount today.
The premiere of Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 has already broken its performance record on linear television (16 million live viewers). .
Now there is news that the ratings have grown beyond expectations
Today’s announcement reads: “Ratings for the premiere episode increased 29% from Same Day Live to Live +3 with more than 21 million viewers, making it Yellowstone’s best ever opening night in the U.S. .
Of course, the good news for Paramount is bittersweet, as the show is currently in its final season.
There were rumors of canceling Yellowstone and bringing the show back for a sixth run.
But so far, Paramount has not made any statement regarding the speculation.
Of course, Taylor Sheridan has plenty of other projects to keep fans entertained, but nothing delivers quite like Yellowstone.
You can bet that Paramount is more than willing to keep betting on their favorite horse based on the Dutton family’s recent results.
