Here’s the trailer for a dark comedy crime thriller called Samson. The film tells the story of Emma and Dale, a couple who break up (Alice Lee and Ryan Dance), they were kidnapped by masked men and forced to work together.
The masked men are named Drew and Joe, and the story is told through “a fragmented timeline and multiple perspectives.” The film has been described as “a comic tragedy; Shakespeare’s Reservoir Dogs, with great musicality.”
Ruth Du, the film’s director, said in a statement: “Samson is like a sour candy with a surprising sweetness in the middle while being wrapped in the shiny foil of a breakup story. …..
“I love exploring characters who are different from what they seem and unraveling complex and universal relationships. I wanted to make a movie about race, but I didn’t want to make a movie about race.
This looks like it could be a fun movie. Freestyle Digital Media will release the film directly to VOD and DVD on November 29, 2024.
