British movies 2024 Wasp Effortlessly switches gears and proves the sting yes in the story. Morgan Lloyd Malcolm adapted the play from a screenplay she wrote. Guillem Morales directed this thriller that will become my new favorite of 2024.
main actors
Naomie Harris plays Heather.
Natalie Dormer plays Kara.
Dominic O’Byrne plays Simon.
Olivia Juno Cleverley plays young Kara.
Lea Mondesir-Symonds plays young Heather.
story
exist WaspHeather married Simon. They are going through a long, rocky road. She tracks down an old classmate; Carla. She asks her old friend to kill her husband. This is how a roller coaster story begins. Murder, revenge and a whole lot of madness.
it works
WaspAlthough it makes wonderful transitions from one aspect to another, it does feel like a stage play. It’s quite dialogue heavy in places and has a lot of exposition in the second half. However, it is necessary.
I love movies that shift into another realm or plot. Wasp Start entering the dark world of paid killers. Woman approaches an old school friend with the intention of killing her hateful husband. Once they start talking about the impending murder, they immediately turn to the left.
only in england
those twists and turns Wasp Part of it revolves around the British school system. Culturally, they are different from this side of the pond. Children in the UK leave school at 16. Culturally, things are almost night and day.
*One of the scenes takes place at a school dance. At the school dance, girls dance with girls, with the odd young man in the mix. Later, when they grew up, the girls would dance with each other. The handbags lay on the floor, waiting for their companions to finally join them.
It’s a crazy world
Both heroines are, for lack of a better word, a little crazy. Although Heather could be considered a complete pervert. *It can be said that despite Heather’s mental problems, she is still very smart.
Despite the sometimes heavy nature of the dialogue WaspThe plot of the film is twists and turns and exciting. Harris proved moonlight This is not “once.” Dorman proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is a force to be reckoned with and kudos to the young actors who play the younger versions of Heather and Kara.
Judgment
Wasp It’s movie platinum. This film is as British as tea, scones, a double-decker bus or scones. It gets 5 out of 5 stars, and you won’t see where it’s going. it is dark splendor and Wasp Currently streaming on MGM+.
