After a short break, one of Global Music Business’s most popular series, The World’s Greatest Producers, returns with new sponsor Collective Neighborhood Rights and a line-up of big names already lined up.
World’s Greatest Producers has been running since 2020, featuring interviews with a range of the most successful modern hitmakers and all-time greats, including Nile Rogers, Mike Dean, Fred Again, Swizz Beatz, Kid Harpoon and Salaam Remi .
The show reboots today, starting with Raphael Saadiq, an artist-turned-producer who has enjoyed decades of success thanks to his collaboration with Beyoncé. Cowboy Carter received a slew of Grammy nominations, and he’s as hot as ever.
Ann Tausis, CEO of Kollective Neighboring Rights, said: “The role of the producer has changed significantly over the years and is now probably one of the most important parts of the artist ecosystem.
“Traditionally, a producer’s role was to enhance and refine the sound of a recording. Many producers now are also talented songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, and therefore have a greater impact on the overall finished product than in the past.
“KNR is proud to represent many well-known producers, ensuring their neighboring rights revenues are maximized and collected efficiently around the world.”
MBW founder Tim Ingham added: “Producers are now an integral, creative and ubiquitous part of the hit-making process, and it’s a real privilege to be able to conduct in-depth interviews with the best in the industry.
“We are excited to continue this goal into 2025 and beyond through our partnership with our friends at Kollective.”global music business
