Three Days Grace’s “Mayday” Reaches No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Play Charts

Three Days Grace ranks No. 1 for the 18th time advertising billboardOn the mainstream rock music airplay chart, “Mayday”, the first song sung by original lead singer Adam Gontier since “Misery Loves My Company” in 2013, rose two spots on the chart on January 11.

The band is one spot shy of the all-time No. 1 hit on mainstream rock radio, which began in 1981, trailing only Shinedown’s 19 leaders.

Of Three Days Grace’s 18 No. 1 mainstream rock songs, 11 were sung by the band’s original lead singer, Gontier, starting with 2004’s “Just Like” You” begins.

“Mayday” was Gontier’s first single since rejoining the band, and the singers swapped voices.

“Mayday” is currently a standalone single as Three Days Grace records its eighth studio album and first since 2022 thunderbolt. The new album will be Gontier’s first collaboration with the band since 2012 Transit of Venus.
