thunderbolt Starring Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan and David Harbor will be featured in all the action scenes in Marvel’s upcoming film.
Harbor attended a D23 fan event in Brazil on Saturday to show off an extended trailer (below) for the film, which follows a group of supervillains who are recruited to carry out missions for the government. “Everyone here has done bad things. Shadow ops, contract killings,” Pugh says at one point in the trailer.
The team of villains and antiheroes includes Pugh, who once again plays her black widow Yelena Belova plays the Red Guardian, Stan plays the Winter Soldier, Olga Kurylenko plays the Taskmaster, Hannah John-Kamen plays the Ghost, and Wyatt Russell Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Louis Pullman plays an unknown character named Bob.
“We were just drifting. And we had no purpose. You can’t escape the past,” Pugh says in the action-packed shot, with Stan adding, “So you either take action now or you live with it forever.
Directed by Jack Schreier thunderboltproduced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Luis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez and Scarlett Johansson serve as executive producers. The film is adapted from Kurt Busiek’s comic series of the same name.
The film also faced delays due to last year’s writers and actors’ strike, with production only starting after labor action in Los Angeles. Geraldine Viswanathan also ended up replacing Ayo Edebiri due to scheduling conflicts, with Pullman replacing Steven Yeun .
