Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum There has been talk of producing one smallville animated series over the years. It’s been a passion project for them and everyone involved, and as of now, the project is awaiting approval from Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Welling talked about the project and how its fate lies in the hands of the studio.
He said: “I’ll tell you where it is: We need Warner Bros. and DC to let us do this. We have aluminum [Gough] and miles [Millar]they are busy making a project called Wednesday. but they created smallvillethey wanted to write it. We just need DC and Warner Bros. to move on.
“Listen, this is a passion project. It’s not going to be a blockbuster, it’s for the fans. All the actors want to voice the characters – we’re all in on it. We just need them to let us use the property.”
smallville is one of the most popular comic book television shows of all time, and I believe that if this series were actually made, it would be a success. This series has such a huge fan base, and the animated series will also attract new people to watch the original series.
Welling previously said of the series: “We’ve been talking about it for a couple of years. We wanted to do a smallville Comic books and animated series, and then we would all voice the characters. We already have an artist and we have a poster.
He added: “It’s more of a labor of love. It’s not going to make a billion dollars, so the studio is kind of like [grumbles]. Maybe we could do a – not a GoFundMe, because that’s financial – but like a petition. We can ask Warner Bros. to let us do that.
Rosenbaum previously teased the project, saying: “Tom and I are developing a smallville An animated series we are working on. This takes time.
Rosenbaum and James Gunn are good friends, so I think there’s a good chance this plan will work. We’ll just have to wait and see.
