2024 movies tornado Characterized by an angry whirlwind that shocks towns and people. Almost with a vengeance. Director Lee Isaac Chung (the award-winning and Oscar-nominated Korean farm boy from Arkansas). IMDb doesn’t mention it, but Lee is from Lincoln, a country almost on the Oklahoma border small town. tornado.) tells us an exciting story about an almost supernatural potential tornado.
Filming Mark L. Smith’s screenplay adaptation of Joseph Kosinski’s story, which is based on characters created by Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin; Chung drives the film like “He stole it”.
It was an exciting journey from start to finish.
story
tornado Not too different from the original Twister movie. The plot is different, heck, so is the love in the new movie. Obviously, it’s missing the late, great Bill Paxton and the awesome Helen Hunt. However, the basis of the story is the same. Come home again to fix past mistakes and fall in love.
At the beginning of the film, Kate, a college student, is eager to get a grant. She chases a tornado and wants to “kill” it. *Bonus for fans of the first film; tornado Gave us an old “Dorothy V” to reminisce about.
Tragically and impressively, she lost three college friends to a tornado. Flash forward and Kate is in New York, a remaining member of her old team. Harvey recruited her. He wanted her to return to Oklahoma to track tornadoes.
Upon arrival, Kate meets Tyler, the Tornado Wrangler and YouTube star. Sparks fly and the story begins in earnest.
main actors
Daisy Edgar Jones plays Kate. As the goddess in the team, she can truly “divide” the direction of the tornado. *Divvy comes from the British antiques trade. Go check out Lovejoy on Britbox. All will be revealed.
Glen Powell plays Taylor. *Is this person here? everything Now? That’s not a problem because he’s great in any role he plays.
Anthony Ramos is Xavi.
Brandon Perea plays Boone.
Harry Haden-Payton plays Ben, a British journalist from London who is reporting Taylor’s story.
it works
Director of photography Dan Mindell gives us a film that looks as gritty as Oklahoma mud. Each frame’s lighting fits like a tight, oiled glove. Terilyn A. Shropshire uses visual effects to edit this exciting film with an iron fist. Nothing is missed. *Except for the sloppy 4X4 beam scene with the water tower. Perhaps this is because of continuity. While the beam was intended to help Taylor escape, it was clearly a mistake.
Benjamin Wallfisch scored “Twister” using musical bars that match each scene.
The whole cast is here to kill. Thanks to actor/writer Haden-Payton. He manages to make his small role stand out with ease.
subtle difference
tornado Something changed. The driving scenes in the original have been changed to rodeo scenes. Smart move. Drive-in theaters are rapidly disappearing, while the Great American Rodeo lives on.
Tornadoes are bigger, more violent, and more terrifying. They appear to have supernatural abilities and are able to exact revenge on those who seek to destroy them. Action sequences explode on the screen. Surprisingly, for a movie that kills off three of its “main characters” right at the start, tornado Try to keep pushing the envelope. Each new twister increases the tension. It even makes our hearts leap in our chests as a meek and humble chick.
Judgment
I loved this. tornado Easily get a perfect 5 star rating. It’s fun, gets your heart racing, and has an engaging, acting lead character. The upgraded massive tornado destructive power is impressive. Despite all the modern technology used in its production, this is still a great old-fashioned movie. The film is available to stream on Peacock and rent on Amazon Prime.
