The 2011 film “Tower Heist” is essentially the “Ocean’s Eleven” of high-rise buildings. Of course, the plot itself is nothing like the Rat Pat movie or the remake. It’s fun, though.
I’m a huge fan of Ben Stiller, so I’m really looking forward to his latest work, Tcatastrophe. It almost goes without saying that I loved this movie. I could have liked it, but the ending was a bit disappointing. Stiller, the son of comedy duo Stiller and Mila, has always excelled in comedy. It must be something in his genes.

Unlike Tropic Thunder and Zoolander, Stiller is no longer directing the film. I can’t help but feel that if he have written and guided tower robbery This movie would have been great, not just good. The trailers and trailers promoting the film make it look like an out-and-out comedy. This is not the case.
In the words of my daughter, this movie is a “genre bender.” It’s more of a fun action/thriller movie. It’s not an out-and-out comedy. I know this because when I watch a comedy, I usually watch it at least twice. Because if it’s a good comedy, I’m going to laugh so hard while watching it and I’m going to miss a lot of dialogue. I didn’t have this problem with the tower heist.
Cast list yes Touching. Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Tia Leoni and Judd Hersh. It seems group movies are all the rage right now. All the actors showed their brilliance with their respective performances. Ms. Leoni, in particular, displays a surprising gift for comedy.
story
The plot revolves around a unique apartment complex that appears to be a thinner version of Trump Tower. The people who live in this building are almost at the top of the Forbes list. Stiller plays Josh Kovacs, the apartment complex manager. Casey Affleck plays Kovacs’ brother-in-law Charlie, a bumbling concierge. Matthew Broderick plays the hapless Mr. Fitzhugh, who has lost everything and is evicted from his apartment.
Alan Alda plays the shy Arthur Shaw in his usual style. Xiao is a financial investment wizard and has a close relationship with Kovac. Kovacs asked Shaw to invest in the apartment complex employee retirement fund for them, hoping to increase their pension levels.
Tea Leoni plays agent Claire Denham, who arrests Shaw for fraud. It seems that Shaw is just a master at taking other people’s money and investing it in his own pocket. Kovacs then decided the money must be in Shaw’s apartment and he needed to get it back.
Kovacs then forces his brother-in-law Mr. Fitzhugh, new employee Enrique Devereaux (Michael Peña), and his criminal neighbor and former classmate Eddie Murphy into Shaw’s apartment and takes the Recover stolen retirement funds.
judgment
Movie yes Clever, it definitely made me laugh in all the right places. However, the misleading marketing campaign used by the studio didn’t do the film any favors. As I mentioned before, this is not an out and out comedy movie.
This is an action movie full of laughs. This is an absolute winner and a movie I enjoyed watching. So if you watch this movie and think of Ocean’s Eleven in a high-rise building, you’ll probably no disappointment.
This is a solid 3.5 stars. Tower Heist is currently trending on starz. Go over and check it out.
